I think it is hard for non-japanese people to play VNs(it means gyaru-game?) in japanese.
I know there are some VNs used(subbed) English even though it is from japan. But I don't know many such games.
Perhaps you play VNs in japanese?

There are fan groups who translate these games to English. I play the translated ones.
I'd like to play japanese ones as I understand quite a bit but the main problem is that I can't read kanji, only like..10 or so.

But there are quite a few translated ones out there. And many are in the progress of being translated. It just takes a while before they're finished translating.

The world has 255 countries, those people who download illegal copies are mainly from countries that have no easy access to the games. Cost prohibition is a problem (50$ is a lot of money in third world country), then there's legal problem (main reason) and there's distribution problem (most english translated one can be bought from only a number of countries, US, Canada, UK, some EU countries)

I went through a hell lot of trouble importing eroge from Japan and bear risk of jail time due to vague legality.

Right, forgot to mention the translation groups as they indeed vary in quality.
I've heard about If my Heart had Wings being badly translated. I have it on my pc to play..so..I'll find out sooner or later.

And it's also my main reason why I wanna learn the Japanese language. But I can't find any classes/courses over here. And I can't get myself to self study it either.

Hi ryuta, I'm sorry, I was being sick for a week. I live by myself (alone) so it takes me over a week to recover.

For what I know, eroge industry in Japan had it hard too but I believe piracy is not the problem. In fact, I believe piracy helps them. Greatest example is me. I would never known of eroge (and thus, wouldn't spend any money for them) if it weren't for some uploader uploads illegal copies of eroge.

The next thing I know it, I bought a lot of artbooks, dakimakuras, tapetries, wallscrolls, other collectibles products from many eroge company that have good products carter to my taste.

People purchase products because they like it - not if they were forced to.

Though, I can't help but wondering - perhaps, the eroge companies want to stay low - after all, they had pressure from other organization about children exploitation (even though no children were involved and the drawings isn't even like human anatomy) and that could be a problem in the future. Can't say about it.
