how passionate you are about your hatred at the way we measure things truly is weird lol

Its just so bad. And I find it so annoying that it was so common while I was growing up that I often understand imperial before metric. It is like a measurement system designed by kindergartners.

ok it's time for a public service announcement.

EVERYONE PLEASE REFRAIN FROM TALKING ABOUT MEASUREMENTS AROUND FINALPYRE. HE WILL GO ON A RANT. I REPEAT, HE WILL GO ON A RANT.

this has been a public service announcement.

ryuta; I'm saying that the Imperial measurement system (which uses things like inches, feet, miles, ounces, etc) is a joke of a system, and it is ironic that one of the most powerful countries in the world is the one that perpetuates an obviously bad system.

whelp, i don't care enough about measurements to stay involved in this conversation.

does anyone want to recommend a translated VN?

At us use happy wise the correct measure: - For length and heigh: mm-cm-dm-m-km...:goodtea:~>

(okay, everyone. let's use pikachu for a unit. and let's use Esperanto language.)

I bought medabot's new game. It's boring.

Edit:
Please contnue interesting topics. forgfet medabots.
I'm off to write a private message.

I have got along fine using that system, but then again, that's all they use here, they don't really teach the Metric System in U.S. schools. If I ever moved to a foreign country I would be completely lost :deadsad:

And that is the funny thing. If you ever go into a serious field, you will quickly abandon it, even in the U.S. They know that it's bad. But for some reason they teach it in lower education.

well, if we were to switch over to metric, any job that involves measurements would have to relearn it, and that's a lot of jobs. and on top of that, we'd get annoyed by the change, and after a while, we'd probably just change it back. making it a pointless move. well, that's how i think of the american people

But in the long run wouldn't it be beneficial? Not sure but I think it would be better to standardize measurement.
Science already has the S.I. system of units so why not something standard for everyday life too

well yeah, but that's assuming people won't just keep complaining and complaining. besides, i think we have more problems to worry about then measurements. like the middle east, an ever-growing debt, and michelle obama's war against fat kids

Yeah, it's kind of pointless to change it now, we have been using that system so long that everyone will have to relearn everything. Only the more technical jobs in the U.S. require the metric system. I think the U.S. just wants to be different from the rest of the world, even if that means introducing a inferior measurement system

I guess that's the same as saying why not have the whole world speak the same language and have the same currency.

Not everybody needs to use an internationally standard system
