Japanese for TV is terebi (テレビ) which comes from television, so katakana is used because it's foreign. Same thing with amerika (アメリカ) which you can probably tell comes straight from the word America. Again, foreign.

Megane (メガネ) is Japanese but katakana was probably used to bring attention to the word. Like bolding, italicizing or underlining a word I guess.

no, there are never awesome male characters in VN's. they're usually the perverted or weird friend lol. but the pont is, there should be at least 3 more routes than there are

I guess they wanted to keep the whole "homo-sapienssss" with the 's'... But I'm not sure if you have noticed when watching anime, you sometimes hear them say "des" or "mas"? It's actually desu (です <- Hiragana there) but they don't drag the u after the s. So ス can sound close enough to s (although you are better off talking to a native speaker about this! I'm sharing but my opinions on the language)

It's the first VN I picked up and I'm still waiting... yeah I don't want to play MajiKoi S or A until I'm done with the first one either.

I have approximately 3 weeks until I get busy again, think that'll be enough to finish a fully translated VN?

well if i remember correctly i think there is only 2 routes left, last time i checked but its been nearly a year since it was touched... i dont think it will get finished so might be better to use ITH and aggregetor or what ever its called
