infamous ; I see you're playing If my heart had wings now.
I've heard the translations are terribad. What do you think of it?

it was kinda weird. they weren't horrible, but there were mess ups. also, you can tell that there were different translators. 'some parts just had the apostrophe's when people were talking,' [and at othere parts there were brackets,] so it was weird, but it wasn't horrible. i'm still playing it though, so i have a ways to go. i'm saving the loli's for last so i can make a twin set :nosebleed: it's weird, they are both typical loli personality types, but in opposite ways

ahh damn, i double posted on accident :/

Ouch, apparently Ijumped too high, hit my head on the ceiling and lost consciousness....

well i guess i should head to bed getting late... cya's later

I've tried it and it'll probably take the same amount of time, if not a bit more, to parry them one by one when compared to aggroing them

Honestly, I want demon's souls to be more rage-inducing.
I've never raged at dark souls through the entirety of the game (only fuck, shit, god damn it, when I die)

If it takes you the same amount of time, you are doing it wrong. If you want to be really efficient, be in new game plus, and go through them with power within, lightning weapon, and either a zweihander or a great club. Then you can just run through the whole place one-shotting them. Btw, the best place to grind if you are in the first playthrough is the painted world, with all the skin/spear guys around the statue in the main area. If you have the great scythe and use power within, you can get about 11,000 in something like a minute, maybe less.

I'm a pretty calm gamer, I don't think I've ever "lost it" at a game. Sometimes listening to my brother rage is hilarious!

lol That sounds like the kind of plot I would try to set up if I was an evil billionaire.

My weapon was not strong enough to 1hit them w
Spent about a total of 7 hours farming there, I get about 10k souls each trip (1 trip = aggroing around 5 npcs) which takes about... 2 minutes?

The only time I raged was when I was still playing online PC games, oh man w

Seven hours... I don't quite have that level of patience (most of my deaths are because I try to go through as fast as possible most of the time :P)... not such a great idea XD

I was quite patient while playing that game, so patient that I became so stupid and somehow farmed the ghouls near firelink shrine for about 1-2 hours >_>

LOL. I think the worst I did for that was when I started playing, and I was determined to go into the catacombs first, and kill every skelly in the graveyard. And then later I realized just how little they were giving me compared to how darn hard they were to kill. ;_;

@sam you don't really lose anything, but you "drop" all your unused experience and soft humanity, and if you are in human form you go hollow (undead). Then you need to make it back to your bloodstain if you want to get it back (if you die again it is gone). So the idea is that you have to do a full level before you can level up at all (soft humanity gives some other bonuses). It was more severe in Demon's.

Familiar with the 2 skeletons if you're going to the graveyard? I died 10x fighting against those 2 XD

No sam, no quests
However there are dialogues that give you hints as to where to go

Mehs so they just leave you to do whatever and try to stay alive xD

Hmm... so theres two chances of leveling to getting back what you lost...~ Unless soft humanity and human form are basically the same thing =w=

Yeah those two, and then I slowly killed the big ones after many tries. Then I finally gave up when the ones in the catacombs would revive, and went the other way, and suddenly the little crap guards were giving more souls than the invincible skellies OTL

Their exp system was kind of crummy in Dark Souls. Too many things give you the same amount for different difficulties, and always such even numbers doesn't make it seem nearly as real (like things always giving exactly 100 or something).

@sam yeah it is fairly obvious where you should go if you talk to the guy they put right there, and there are lots of things (and even bosses) you don't have to fight, but can, but they aren't really quests or anything.
Soft humanity is like an item you use to equip it. Hard for me to explain. The more you have on, the better your item drop and defense is.

Pretty much, you can go almost anywhere with exceptions to some places XD

Did not survive long for me to reach the catacombs, then I went the other way w

Really? never played demon so I can't make a comparison between them

I killed him 4 hours into the game.

Lol xD hmm... so they had an odd calculation thingy for drops and exp... bosses drop tons at least?

Yeah in Demon's things gave odd numbers, so it felt kind of more 'real' with what you were getting (like guys early on might give 6, and later might give 354). The crestfallen night was a lot more whiny and a lot less ominous in Dark Souls too (he and patches were in Demon's), he just eventually goes hollow in Dark souls, while interactions with him in Demon's are a lot more ominous and what happens to him is a bit scarier, I think. Like I said before, what Demon's really did right was the atmosphere. It is do oppressive and often creepy.

Yeah sam bosses give a lot more exp. And they (normally) give a short cut back to a safe zone.

Tons indeed, but you'll probably waste all of them for leveling up once or twice (since the bosses that drop a lot are later in the game, you will be pretty high leveled at that time - except if you don't know you can level up at all like me for a while >_>)

I'm.. fine with dark souls' really, I try my best to not look at the souls counter when I farm and only look at it after I finished farming for a long time, quite satisfying XD
I've heard about this.. "good" and "bad" side? in demon souls and that sounds too complicated w
Seriously..? Spoil me, what happened

Afternoon LPW... :hi:

:disbelief: Nazaka what are your neko's doing?! :wasclose:
Now where have I seen that before... Nichijou?

"You can use bonfires to increase Soul Level in Lordran" went right over your head!?!? XDDDDDDDDD

That may be true for a first play through, but for me I get most of my levels from bosses in Dark Souls. Normally get a good handful from later bosses as well. (note, sam, that levels do a lot less than your typical RPG level, you can level up all kinds of different stats depending on the character you want, and I think max level is ~720).
