Yes! It is there are the most general ways for writing to a formal way

and the first is the normal way that everyone are using

Yes, cursive is very much dead, over here.

But we use them in many formal letters and such things or when we want to show respect and politeness we use the cursive italic with some bold write (it dependence the hand)

Oh interesting. Over here it tends to be less formal (or at least not more formal), and is primarily used by the older generations. I think that it has ceased to be taught in schools.

in hight schools there are Hellenic Calligraphy where there you can learn in some section of studying in university it's a default chosen course!

Yes, I think the primary application was for speed. :)

In our country they aren't meant for speed writing because they must have the right balance and to have a nice feeling.

personaly i prefer the second way.

But they are tiring and it depends on the hand and the nib of the pen! a M (Medium) nib will give a nice feeling to a newbie on italic writing style and the beginning to start calligraphy

i started with a M (medium) nib in my first years in middle school.

Yep it was not real calligraphy however it was similar. There were also writings under angle etc.

they are pain but they look fine

one of my teachers back at my high schools at the Greek History (newer 1819 up recently years) he had a very nice looking calligraphy with the perfect balance and nice bold looking line.

I actually almost everything write by hand with cursive font. Sometimes to make it quicker i change the first letter to upper case.
(everyone use it in a Elementary School)

Hello again! Was a short "afterwork" Party, most people have to work tomorrow so it was just a little x-mas party with some presents

Here we've learned calligraphy in the elementary school but after that you didn't need it recently. Now at studium part everybody writes alphabetical like normal, just for the signature the calligprahy was necessarily. But for some other parts it could be useful :)
