I'm close to dead only slept 2 hours (little bit sick) and watched Umineko nearly complete instead. Was worth it till now, last 6 episodes remaining. Haven't seen any anime with that impact on change from horrible to (really) good. Looking forward to the last episodes. At least they got - like Higurashi - extreme much story and insufficient time

Well, Umineko isn't that bloody, it's more harsh/violent in my opinion. Maybe it's my point of view because I can live with blood but violence let me shake and I need to look away sometimes

Manga versions are often better than their anime counterparts imo (not always). With that said.. gantz manga > gantz anime, but it still got pretty ridiculous in the end.

EDIT: don't watch blood-c, but a compilation of the uncensored deaths.
