The game LPW i.e., last post win became very popular in many anime forums after Nihonomaru revealed it but does anyone know where Niho learned the game from and what was its main goal and history? : )

Tessu joined ASF in Oct. 2010. An Admin, Tessu started the first ASF LPW (Last Poster Wins) game one month later, and penned the rules that are still used today. The winner of the last LPW starts the next LPW (or assign it to someone else.) The Admins and Mods were looking for ways to generate forum activity. The first LPW was won by Cocona (joined Nov 2010,) who is now a Mod.

LPWs have been around for a long time, and are found in many forums (not just anime forums,) and many different formats.

I was on a British forum that had a porn LPW, for example.

It's a fun activity that promotes poster interaction, comradery, and lots of mindless posts. :)

I've started two, but some posters have started more.

Ya i see : ) but i wasn't speaking of how it was started on this forum, in general do you guys know how it was founded and who was behind it ? The 2nd people who started it was Nihonomaru (then it became popular among anime forums) but before Niho there was a one big adult (porn) forum and a group of friends who loved chatting and they were the original ones.

Hint, it was founded but a guy who loved OWLs and always had an OWL avatar - they called him the wise guy. Tessu learned the game from Nihonomaru, he was a hentai moderator there.

Ya that one : ) but the original create was a site under the name Badjojo. Several guys created the game back in 2000 for competition, and rep orgy. Also for chat reason but the main goal behind the game was chat, many posts, friends and mainly rep orgy. That site was sold and later the forum on that site was removed.

When everything is said and done, the important thing is just to have fun.
