That's their usual MO, since it creates time energy to feed on. The net effect is the victim is dead to everything and everyone they knew.

But they have been known to kill directly, and control their victim's corpse.

vahta nerada might have been my favorite villain. my friends favorite is the santarans. there's all kinds of awesome villains
