I used to always put my alarm clock on the other side of my room, and turn the volume off. It would make a very light static sound when it came on, and it would always instantly wake me up. The alarm I use now can't do that, so on its lowest volume it is sometimes loud to wake up to :(

But I agree, in a real survival situation, I would probably be one of the first people to try ramboing a hoard of zombies and getting torn to shreds XD
