Mahou Tsukai no Yoru Installation Help

Hello. As the title says, I need help with installing this visual novel. I downloaded it from here and extracted everything accordingly. I also put my computer in Japanese locale. The installation process seems to run well up until it's finished or seemingly finished copying the files. At that point, two error windows pop up. One says "The exception Breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x7700805d. Click on OK to terminate the program." and the other says "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Initially, I had changed the installation path. After googling for a bit, someone suggested going with the default path instead so I then did that without any success.

I'll include images, if necessary, as soon as photobucket ends their maintenance. ~_~ Thank you for the help. :3

Also, I apologize if this error has been mentioned before. I found a thread mentioning some errors, but they didn't seem to relate to this problem.

i never trust many rar files, i tend to have problems with them while extracting, but if your saying its the after installing i can't tell what the problem is, sorry

Hello [MENTION=69246]SaintRosette[/MENTION];~ I don't know for sure what the error your having is but I am going to throw out any sort of idea I can to help till you get a even better answer from someone smarter than I at this. xD Though this sounds almost exactly the same as a error I had on Fate/Hollow Atraxia VN but the solution to that was fixed by changing my region to Japanese then tweeking some of the path ways that had "\" into "￥" (via system and not a program like AppLoc.) I know you stated that you changed to JP region just want to make sure it was the actual system and not a program like Apploc or ect. :) Also are you using Windows 8? I've heard that some visual novels happen to have issues running on it.

I've ran into problems with .rar files before, but Winrar tends to catch them when I do. Everything seemed like it extracted fine.

And yeah. It was the system. I didn't even know I could use a program to handle it. My computer runs on Windows 7.

I tried installing it again (for screenshot purposes), but it seems like it finally installed correctly. Seems. I'm not 100% sure because two out of three buttons are grayed out. The one on the left has a "B" next to the Japanese characters, which I'm assuming means "Back", the one in the middle has a "C," which probably means "Cancel", and the final button just has Japanese characters, but I'm assuming it probably means "Finish." "Back" and "Finish" are grayed out while the one that might mean "Cancel" isn't, but it doesn't seem like the installation process is doing anything else.

Edit: Never mind. ;; The button I thought meant cancel doesn't. Alright. Somehow it looks like it just randomly fixed itself. O.o Either way, it seems like it installed fine. Thank you for the help. :3
