Just watched this anime today and it's amazing. However, I'm still a bit confused in why they're trying to kill this girl at the start...?

Anyone else watched it? If so, does anyone know the answer to my question? If so, please tell me (with spoiler tags :P).

And yes, comments and opinions about the anime is welcomed :P
