My Favorite Word, Right This Minute, Is:

Baka.
The Japanese word "馬鹿"(baka) consists of 馬(horse) and 鹿(deer). The derivation of the kanjis goes back to a historical event that 赵高(Zhao Gao), an ancient Chinese politician of Qin dynasty, purposely called a deer a horse in order to test if the other court officials blindly follow his statement (Cn: 指鹿為馬). Since "鹿" is pronounced as "lù" in Chinese and as "ka" only in Japanese, the kanjis "馬鹿" are said to be a mere Japanese phonetic equivalent for the ancient Sanskrit word "baka"(ignorance), which is considered as the most reliable word origin.
Then which is more baka, horses or deers?
