You need to mount the disc the first time you run the game.

I have it mounted in daemon tools and it still shows the error...

Installed the game. Backed up the original launcher. Then copied over the new launcher and kDays.dll. Ran the game.

I'm using daemon tools lite.

I dunno then. Maybe it installed something in the registry for attempting to open the game without the patch. Not entirely sure.

Don't delete your original launcher, just rename it, then use the crack.

Same here... Someone is going to have to manually hex edit the exe not the launcher, That's
what someone did on the previous game and it worked for everyone...

Not gonna try anything this time around, Sit tigh and wait for an alternative crack guys, At
least that for the ones the mentioned methods don't work...

I believe you need to launch the game from the launcher on the disk.
The game exe in the installation folder need to be cracked.

The current crack is a basic one from the generic Alpharom cracker.
I've asked our cracker to make a better crack, waiting for him to be online.

Nope, Launching the game from the Setup on disk (since there is no launcher there) just gives the same error...

copy _CONFIG.MED in dvd
replace it and run setup.exe try start game

All the installation does is copy the files on the disc to the folder specified, so doing that wouldn't mean anything, as you're replacing the same file.

Worked fine for me. Using Win7 64 bit.

1. Installed game (custom location, not default--not sure if that had any effect). KEPT INSTALL WINDOW OPEN AFTER INSTALLATION COMPLETE.

2. In installed game folder, renamed "launcher.exe" to "launcher.orig"

3. Copied crack contents (launcher.exe and kDays.dll) into installed game folder.

4. Launched game from still open Installation window (and not from any files in the installed game folder).

Game worked fine. Using the SAIMINBO.EXE in the installed folder, even after inserting the crack contents, may write something to the registry ruining the crack. Try uninstalling and then following these instructions.

I just got home and try, just run the game from the setup.exe and it works fine.

Non-japanese system need to use LEGUI to run the setup.exe. Otherwise in-game font will be jibberish.

None of the above solutions are working... Still needs a proper crack...

*Sigh* It's saiminjutsu RE all over again... (waiting almost a week before proper crack release...)

Cracking the launcher.exe does not work for most of us, The game exe needs
to be properly cracked, That was what had to be done before the previous
fudegaki soft game worked for everyone...

And yes, I have the DVD mounted, My computer is on japanese unicode, I have
locale emulator installed, tried custom install directory, tried renaming the install
folder, Copied crack and launched from setup, Launched from setup, Renamed
the launchers, Nothing works...

It simply needs a proper crack period...
