Try reinstalling DirectX, afterwards, use dxdiag to check that it reinstalled right.

Direct3d problems are usually caused by DirectX, or graphics driver problems. DirectX is the quicker of the two to try.

Do you please have any idea how to apply the crack? I am used to there being an .exe that is named the same way as the one in the game folder. Here there are multiple .dat folders and an exe that is 10 times smaller, when I run it nothing happens.

Hope the crack did not get replaced by a virus that I stupidly used...

EDIT: nvm, it had to go into the data folder in the game folder

Sadly the mega link I posted was removed(not by me), and I've reformatted since then. I no longer have a copy of the original crack. Sorry...
