close range and hello? wet? that's not cool. lasers aren't as efficient, nor cool. today's lasers don't have colors like we see in Star Wars. I'm waiting for the plasma cannons, the phlegm colored blasts are cool

Water cutter is much faster according to some teacher i had~ Said that the laser cutter took like a month to cut metal or something? and he tried giving it to some guys with a water cutter and they finished in days... might be cuz he was only in class with the lazer cutter? Not sure about the circumstances behind it all...

jet cutters are faster because there's large particles in extremely high velocity breaking down a substance. A laser cutter utilizes heat, depending on the metal, some are heat resistant so lasers won't really work for some degree. unless they develop charged particles, nothing much comes about in terms of weaponry

well high powered lasers are already discovered but they require immense energy and are only effective for a short range and each uses up almost all the power of a small nuclear power plant.
