SUMMARY

Natsume Yuujinchou is a light and cheerful anime adapted from the manga of the same name.

Since he was young, a teenage boy named Natsume Takashi has been able to see spirits, but keeping this ability a secret has now become a heavy burden for him and has made his life difficult.

This begins to change when Takashi inherits his grandmother's "Book of Friends". He discovers that she, Natsume Reiko, shared the same ability as him and starts to understand why he was always targeted by both good and bad spirits.

After learning the true meaning behind the Book of Friends, which allows him to manipulate the spirits listed within its pages, Takashi undertakes a journey with his bodyguard, the infamous spirit Madara, to free the spirits of their contracts with Reiko.

Is there a magical way to get the opening and ending playing properly? I have tried Media Player Classic Homecinema (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions). I have also installed CCCP but nothing seems to work. Do I have to rename the files in some conventional way?

After trying this and that, it seems that I finally got it working with Shark007 Codecs. It seems that the problem was MKV files were using the LAV's splitter which is the default when you install Shark007. I needed to do 2 things: set it to use Haali's splitter and enable linked files.
Just posting this since might be useful for somebody else in the future.

Hmm, I thought CCCP was using Haali as a default?
No matter what, Haali should always be used for mkv files since it's the only splitter to work fully with them.

I thought so too but when I installed CCCP, it did not seem to set things correctly and I did make sure MKV was enabled for Haali. I am not sure what went wrong but fortunately Shark007 has a more advanced GUI that seems to tell you what setting are you on for MKV files.

Well it was down for me, and thats the fact of the matter. Maybe filefactory and/or jdownloader was messing up but either way, it certainly wasn't an inaccurate report, I'll just look for another way to get them next time.
