Generally site like this end after some years. And until now they are new site that take the place that was here. If nyaa is definitely down probably another site will soon be here. In fact it a good think because with the new site we will have less problem in star and with time going problem will raise until the down and the new one. We don't know if it will be always that but for now i think it will take a least some years before a big change happen in bad or good way.

Well, for anime we can still grab the magnet links from horriblesubs.info. So at least we can still download most new anime from there. What are the other most liked subbers and do they have blogs we can download from? Between girlcelly's blog and posts on this forum, we should be able to grab new H-games too.

For H-anime, hikiko123 is/was my sole supplier for raws on nyaa.. anirena.com looks like it has H-anime torrents (along with other anime related stuff) but I don't know if it's as reliable as nyaa. I prefer not to stream my H/anime online because I'm going to be moving to a place that will (most likely) have a monthly data limit and streaming videos at 720p or higher eats data like there's no tomorrow. I'd like to (and indeed have been since 2013) accrue as much media offline as possible.

Let's see.. I use g.e-hentai.org for my H-manga. You can download their manga/galleries through torrents too. I honestly don't read much non H-manga so I wouldn't know the best places to find them.

Just tried it now and it's working for me. I really dislike Horriblesubs so any other option is wonderful. I really do hope that someone else decides to host nyaa and gets its backups and data so all isn't just lost, but that could by months or a year from now tbh

It's a huge loss for the community, but it's incredible, that nyaa even existed so long. The .se domain is from Sweden and Sweden is very strict about copyright laws (see history of PirateBay). I mean, such a site in the EU ... and all that after what happened with PirateBay.

But yeah, hopefully they have backups and they are only looking for a new domain.

I noticed this a couple of days ago.. I've relied on Nyaa for nearly ALL of my anime content (H and non H) for years.. If it is down for good, it's a huge loss..

just post this in hope that perhaps one of those guys from Nyaa will see this, Nyaa is by far the one and only the best for me and others too perhaps, it saves many ass, with it going down, its like a masses killing, i really hope that Nyaa could somehow get back or perhaps create a new domain, since we users always appreciated for your work, been using it for years now.

I noticed it was down yesterday but I thought it was just maintenance or something. Heres to hoping it comes back or a new one rises cause old anime/hentai just keeps getting harder and harder to find.

This is very depressing and a HUGE low blow for both anime and hentai.

Let us hope that another and better replacement comes soon. In my years of being a porn fiend that's generally been the case, something better will come around...

But wow, Europe looks to be truly doomed on another note.

For now, only TokyoTosho works when it comes to being a aggregate for the torrent listings since Nyaa went down. I really, really hope that something can be done about getting Nyaa back online in some way, shape, or form. All the Anime/Games/Hentai/Music that run off of their trackers is just huge... =(

One of many reasons why I'm here right now. Anime-Sharing was one of the top suggested sites for torrent and anime sharing download. The great thing about Nyaa is that they have a wide selection of non-hentai anime and hentai anime to download and watch and probably is the best and quickest source, I really hope they comeback since as I know this happened before and they got the site back up again.

Well, the first time it went down, it was moving the domain off shore. THIS time, however, with the EU passing some stupid laws regarding any sharing of content, and since the site was actually hosted out of Sweden (hence the .SE at the end of the web address) they got it shut down completely by the government.
What this means for us fans of JP content....is that it'll be a hell of a lot harder to get access to. I don't know about some people, but I much prefer torrents to content hosting sites, since it's quicker to get it that way. Not much we can do sadly, other than hope and pray that something else pops up soon, or that Nyaa's admins find a new host for it in a different country.

I don't know about some people, but I much prefer torrents to content hosting sites, since it's quicker to get it that way.

Torrents are the only way to go for me. I won't do 7 part DDL downloads. No thank you.
