Operation Black March

all i could is hope that the plague don't spread... no other tracker following it

which is why i have i huge hope in this operation, should the operation activated

Just one thing that concerned me regarding the operation.
Do we need to stop DL-ing animes during that time?

News update:
Anonymous on January 10th had DDoS'd (Denial of Service attack) the CIA (http://www.cia.gov).

Anonymous has threatened Israeli Government (http://www.legitgov.org/Anonymous-Israeli-government-expect-us). The Israeli Government has also shut down the internet service for various towns against their governMENTAL decisions, and not only that has been neglecting its people. Syria if I am not mistaken is doing the exact same.

Operation Botnet.

I can hardly remember when I last bought a movie... or watched one at that.
oh well, 1+ to Op Black March!

So OBM is starting already tomorrow? I'm in!

Also, I don't understand why people claim DL sites like these are the wrong way to start or spread the message.

Now, of course, you can't just blindly trust studies - any studies at all, really - but I think it's a pretty good pointer. I personally can identify with this. I certainly don't buy more than I download, but I do buy a lot of what I download. I buy when I can and download when I have to. What the entertainment industry fails to see is that piracy is in many ways a platform for them to reach out to broader audiences. If it wasn't for piracy, I wouldn't know about half of the musicians I buy music from. I wouldn't know about anime or Asian entertainment, either.

Well, the studies may or may not be true. And we probably do buy less than we used to due to file sharing. But I really don't believe that the sales will increase significantly if laws like these will ever pass. They are just making it harder for people to discover entertainment they are interested in purchasing. Even if every file sharing site on the internet shut down and I'm unable to download, I won't have more money to buy things than I do now. Most likely, I will buy less, because I will lose my opportunity to discover more.

As have already been pointed out by other pirates before, the entertainment indusitries' best solution is to give their us better services than what file-sharing is giving us. Of course, it's difficult to compete with file-sharing services because they are free, but I do believe there are ways the industries could give us better offers than they do now.

Or something like that. This is my two cents, anyways.
