7. Ouch, tell him to give it to you, so you can exchange the laptop or possibly get a better one. If he still doesn't budge, you can always tell him that if the laptop finally breaks, it's going to cost at least $300 or more to repair it or buy a new one.
 
4. The receipt can confirm that Sam has the warranty, so he can go exchange his laptop for a new one.
 
2. It is easy to confirm that it is a hardware issue. If the laptop fails to function properly, it is a hardware issue.
