I hate the Pokemon games. Its the same thing over and over again except for new Pokemon and graphics. GAHHH!!!

Well, that depends on how you define "the same thing over and over again." I could say the same about RPGs in general, because they're all about raising units by defeating enemies and making companionship. Or I could say also that FPS games are all the same thing over and over again -- different weapons? Different plots? Different game mechanisms? Nope, still the same thing over and over again!

hmm ya its truee.. but still no common pokemon... but they must have share the variety... thats what i think... ~__~

even other type has flying grass/ flying water/ in common pokemon..not legend right.?? well..
Well, how about other types that actually could become more common? Like dragon combined with other types. Rock, for example. Or what about more water/dragon? Something that looks like Leviathan, perhaps? Rather than just Kingdra, which doesn't look like a dragon, or Palkia, which doesn't look like it has anything to do with water (it doesn't even live in water in the movies).

Also guys, don't discriminate Skrelp too much. Look, we have Magikarp, which evolves into Gyarados and was one of the most overhyped powerhouses during its time. Then there's Feebas, the absolutely hideous, good-for-nothing lump of awfulness which evolves into what's dubbed as the most beautiful Pokemon, Milotic. There's a moral lesson to be learnt here! I have hopes!

Who knows.. But I really don't see it becoming something at least a bit prettier xD

Rattata became Raticate and Raticate with Hyper Fang had sick damage output. I believe in my Skrelp. He'll become an amazing addition to my team! I will name him "unownHGSS" to mock you :<

Well...........its' quite similar 2 Digimon as well.......... they jz improve the graphics n add more monsters basically........... mayb they should add some visual novel style into d game......

No, not fine then D:
Go ahead and name it after me. I'll find another way to get back at ya! >:3

Hinode ; Goodnight and sleep well~!

eww... dont underestimate ugly.. even FEEBAS can evolve into Miloticcss.. Strong and beauty Water pokemonn.. and MAGICRAPp.... welll... stiill CRAP... :sowwy: i dont even like garadoss.. gyarados... even many say "He Stronggg"

mmm hope they will added later.. since it still few pokemon with dragon type or dark maybe..

A rambling of my own;

Personally, I have skipped both the Gen 4 and 5 games. No reasons why, but I just didnt pick up the games. Yet that didnt stop me from being active in playing in tourneys and studying the pokemons and teams individually whenever I felt like it.

Gen 5's introduction (in fact, BW2) meant a major re-shuffling in among the top ranks of the pokemon tiers. To me, it meant that not only competitive game has changed, the meaning and reasons behind each battles and picks have been altered. No longer were the mind games between setting up, stalling nor sweeping so talked about, the game has turned rather straightforward, something which I am not very pleased about.

Back in DPP, it was about the right pick and balances in your team. Everyone definitely have their likes and dislikes about certain pokemon, and have their each individual style of picking the pokemons on their team. I am not in a position to comment on why they put certain pokemon in whenever I am facing people, because it just makes the whole process more fun and thrilling. The unique situations I faced in DPP tourneys back in the days made the learning more fun, and it was certainly things to remember with the numerous battles I had, despite not playing the actual game and adapting to the new physical/special system introduced back then.

Came along BW/BW2, and the whole game changed again. To me, BW/BW2 felt like it wanted to reset the pokemon world, like experiencing a whole new game about. The changes it made to the meta gameplay in my opinion has been unforgiving and something which I have not accepted well. IN BW/BW2, there is only 1 rule to follow in the battles, and that is sweeping as fast and as much as you. The focus and emphasis on sweeping is only reflected by the directional change/leaning towards the new surge of special attackers. The established sweepers in DPP may no longer find a spot in the current games, and the need for physical tanks have decreased. Well-known tanks like Skarmory still execute their jobs well, but their presence is no longer of the same significance of before. Giving the scarfs to your sweepers, and introducing the all new weather teams and bringers, the game has changed. Sure its still all fun and enjoyable, and obviously not all teams pick 6 sweepers and expect to blast through their ranks, neither do they anticipate if their opponents can outsweep them.

The introduction of Fairy in Gen 6 would only mean yet another reshuffle in the current meta game plays. The dominance of the dragons among the top ranks are definitely threatened, expect some lesser used pokemons to rise to top ranks once they have been labelled 'Fairy'. Yes, as previously mentioned, I do feel the immune is not as important as the super effectiveness the fairies bring. Sure, have your outrage or dragon meteor nullified because I swapped in a fairy, but that's the name of the game. Yet, the natural bulk and stats of the dragons still cannot be underestimated. Have you ever heard of a dragon tank? Possibly Dragonite only(with full life and m-scale). Dragons are symbols of destruction and sweepers in the game, and I believe that will never change. The added weakness have warranted more care about their usage, but their presence in any teams will never be counted out.

I have no ideas what Gen 6 is going to bring, I will just wait and see. Who knows I might pick it up in the future.

I think that only happens prominently in OU. And if you ask me why, it's because of the dragons. Dragon Dance + Outrage is such a common combo among sweep-oriented dragons. Sure, a Salamence user may choose to hit hard with Draco Meteor first and switch to physical moves afterwards, or a Garchomp user may abuse Sandstorm instead as it doesn't learn Dragon Dance. But Outrage is still almost always guaranteed to come after Dragon Dance unless the opposition is a steel type.

I don't think the monotonic playstyle you're talking about also applies indifferently to other tiers. Lower tiers arguably have much less sweeping going on, and with the introduction of Prankster in Gen V, use of moves like Thunder Wave, Swagger, and the like has jolted considerably. Even in Uber, Thundurus can heavily cripple your team and be a total bane to some like Shaymin-S who relies on Choice Scarf + Air Slash + Serene Grace.

Oh, entry hazards are still rampant as ever, too. Stealth Rock is still very popular, and even OU still has Forretress, who can easily wall physical attacks while setting up hazards. Yes, a bulky, defensive Dragonite relying on Thunder Wave and Dragon Tail instead still appears every now and then, although not as often as its ExtremeSpeed/Outrage counterpart. I myself still use Skarmory with Whirlwind + Stealth Rock at times, inventing heavily in its special defence.

So no, in a nutshell, while it's true that OU has lately evolved into a metagame where most people just try to sweep the opposition as fast and efficient as possible, the lower tiers don't come close, and Ubers still retain a fair bit of variation.

^ Yeah, phrased my words wrongly, but yes, OU gameplay is kinda tiring for me now.

The battles in DPPt era were (in my honest opinion) most fun.
I've battled a lot over Wifi back then.

It's just that in B/W the battles are getting kinda repetitive. So much Sandstorm, Rain and Sun teams out there.
I usually stick with the lower tiers. It really gives a great feeling when beating once of the teams mentioned before with UU / RU or even NU teams :3

DRAGONIIIIITE!! (Contains immature words and stuff) Some people doesn't like that so I warn just in case.

HAHAHA Really funny video, dragonite is one
of my favorite pokemons. xD
Pokemon X and Y looks really good. ^-^
I can't wait for gamble this game. owo
I'm looking forward to 5er battles. :3

THIS, NO! Unless you actually get Yveltal in Y, then I'm happy. You never know with these pokemon games. Pokemon Black gave you Reshiram so they like to mindfuck you.
