And what does Destiny Knot do for breeding exactly? Does it pass down the highest IVs from the parents?

The Destiny Knot passes down 5 random IVs in total from both parents. I.e. 3 from father and 2 from mother, 1 from father and 4 from mother. It's best used once you've got sufficient IVs on the offsprings. I'd stick with using the Power items first to pass on single stats until they have at least 2-3 max before using the Destiny Knot.

As for the Pokeradar, you're in luck. I was just going through this now with a friend as we were trying to use it mostly for the past few days.
I'll post a link since it would be able to go through chaining in greater detail.

Zygarde has relatively horrible stats as far as I remember. It's base total only comes up to 600 which is disappointing to say the least. I would give you an estimate but I've laid off from catching Zygarde since it's stats were always horrible when I tried to catch it and it would take over 10 minutes per battle.

Look for a Pokemon with similar stats and you'll be able to find something with similar ones you're looking for.

Shame its stats are crap. :/ His design is awesome. He'll probably get something in the next Kalos game though. Like a Mega evolution or a new form. <_< And thanks again.
