Reason For Playing Eroge/Visual Novels

I read VNs because I want to be entertained. Galge/Otome/Nakige/Eroge (no nukige though, they don't entertain me ^_^;), they all have the potential to entertain me.

Because of censorship in certain countries, this limits the market on games.

Gaming is about the new experiences and I don't get much experience from the stock standard games available instores. VN's and Eroges are unique and have more quality and depth over many games, stories and even movies.

Ideally I don't want to support 'available franchises' the market offers in one country as they stunt growth for other real and series developers out in Japan.

At first I got into them because I wanted some porn...I downloaded Wanko to Kurasou waaaay back in the days of puretna, haha, when I was barely even into hentai. I like a lot of different kinds of porn though, so the mood struck me for something different...really different, and I downloaded this loli dog girl game on a whim. Then when I got around to playing it the story had me hooked until 5AM and then I went looking for them for the story and played a bunch. I liked it a lot better than anime because it doesn't blue ball you by limiting it to only ecchi stuff or have as much dumb indecisive harem shit, but let you actually go all the way with the girls you like.

Now there's story-based VNs coming out left and right and I've come full circle and just want them for porn now, haha.
