Does anybody know basic rules for Mahjong? If so please post them.

I actually have 3 or 4 games that feature "Mahjong as Gameplay Element", however I have no idea how to play Mahjong.

TY, I really needed this. So many other sites had an rather roundabout approach to teach, what this guy explains very simply.

Although, the one and only problem I have to this vid is that it doesn't go over scoring. From what I am told by other sites scoring in mahjong is quite "tedious", and from the looks of it - It is, my god tedious indeed.

Willowcat, do you have a easy to follow instruction vid on scoring?

Unfortunately, no. Here are some general pointers I can give you:

A hand full of Pons is generally worth more than having one or two Chis.

You can have a winning hand of all Pairs; it's called Chi-toitsu.

You can get more points if your hand has no 1s or 9s in it, or if your hand has only one suit (Winds and dragons don't count toward this).

Riichi and Ippatsu (claiming a hand immediately after riichi) are often critical. I would say, always Riichi if you have tenpai (one tile away from winning) and have at least 1000 points.

The 13 orphans hand (1 and 9 of each suit, all winds and dragons, one pair) is rare, but worth a ton of points.

Concealed (drawn) Pons, Chis and Kans are worth more than claimed ones.

(RIP JewWario. :( )
