The Magenta Girls is a group of students from the Keishin Academy. It was led by Rina Sugaya and their members include Fūko Shibasaki, Hikaru Higuchi, Sachiko Sugai, Haruka Fujimura, Asami Kondo, Minae Kojima, Aimi Tokida, Hikari Endō and Manami Ōguro. Magenta Girls: Rina Sugaya, Fūko Shibasaki, Hikaru Higuchi, Sachiko Sugai, Haruka Fujimura, Asami Kondo, Minae Kojima, Aimi Tokida, Hikari Endō and Manami Ōguro
“How do you like our pattern? Does it feel good for us to wear it?” asked Sachiko Sugai.
“Yeah!” said the Magenta Girls.
“I like the style of using magenta clothes! It fits me to be carefree and admired, just like Kagetsu wore every weekend” said Fūko Shibasaki.
“Actually, Fūko, Kagetsu wore at least three colors. She wore clothes that are magenta, pink and white” said Rina Sugaya.
“Ah, okay. I believe that Kagetsu made her prestigious personality to be more expressive because she’s always closed with Mimi” said Hikaru Higuchi.
“Yeah, that’s true, Hikaru” said Rina.
“It’s safe to say that we’re going to groove ourselves to wear those clothes that are colored magenta because we’re determined to be adamant and prestigious” said Sachiko.
“I agree, Sachiko. I’m sure that we would be ready to team up with different groups because right now, we’re going to plan some events that we’re going to make after the Golden Week” said Rina.
“Yeah!” said the Magenta Girls.
“Let’s start the meeting, girls!” said Rina.
“Okay!” said the Magenta Girls.
As the meeting begins, the Magenta Girls are going to discuss some school activities that will happen in Keishin Acdemy for the month of May.
“Now, there will be mid-term examinations to be held on the ninth week, which will be from May 24 to 28. As a result, there will be no activities to be held on that week” said Manami Ōguro.
“Of course, Manami! That means, there will be a few events to be held in the sixth and seventh week” said Hikari Endō.
“So, in light of our school’s preparations for the mid-term examinations, the students will observe one minor holiday, which will be the Children’s reading day. That will be on Friday” said Minae Kojima.
“Which means, we will read the books at any time, any place” said Hikari.
“I assumed that during the literature class, teachers will let the students to read the books for most of the time. It might be last for at least 25-30 minutes to let us read the books” said Manami.
“Last year, we did that before. At least, we brought some books to be kept at our own bookshelf” said Asami Kondo.
“Yep. Now, there is also going to be the Constitutional Week where we will enlighten the understanding of the spirit of the Constitution and the functions of the judiciary in Japan” said Fūko.
“The Student Council will open the new session on May 7, which is on Friday. I hope that President Satō will be discussing the plans this year. I believe that the counterparts from the middle school and high school will address their plans this year” said Haruka Fujimura.
“Also, in observing the Constitutional Memorial Day, the Keishin Academy Disciplinary Committee will be orienting to us about the issues on our school on April 30. Due to the no classes being observed on May, the nearest date before the next holiday will be the day that will have the orientation” said Aimi Tokida.
“In preparation for the sports festival this June, all grade levels will be holding their practice starting May 15 to May 29. The sports festival will be held on June 5 at the assembly area of our school” said Minae.
“So, we need the sports committee to collaborate with us, in order to make a fair and organized sports festival. Also, the middle school athletics team and the high school athletics team will be preparing themselves for the prefectural tournaments this June. Which means, the athletes will be exempted from participating at the sports festival” said Sachiko.
“The other events right after the mid-term examinations will be announced before the week of the mid-term examination” said Asami.
“Now, on the other hand, the student council will be planning to open the election of the grade level committee where each committee will elect the president of the committee and its respective grade level committees. All parties are allowed to run, depend on their leader to participate” said Fūko.
“With that said, the elections will be held right after the Golden Week. The filing of candidacies is open to anyone who are willing to run for their spots and it will be held on May 10 to 11. The election day will be on May 14 during the homeroom activity. The election results will be announced on May 15 before the practice for the sports festival” said Aimi.
“Those who are elected in the student assembly are allowed to run unless he/she may resign his/her seat. The special elections for the vacated seats will be held right after the mid-term examinations, mandated by the electoral administrative committee” said Rina.
“From what I observed in the recent student assembly elections last February where Erika Satō’s Prestigious Keishin had dominated the elections with fourteen out of twenty-eight seats while the opposition group known as the New Keishin, a coalition of centre-left students, acquired seven seats and the other entities have brought the rest” said Haruka.
“The Prestigious Keishin is a political party that focused on the redevelopment of our school through reforming some policies and it is inspired from the Kōsaten-hatsu, a political group in Shiromidai that focused on reforming the policies of their school, the Shiromidai Elementary School” said Hikari.
“The Prestigious Keishin is affiliated with its counterparts, the Pink and Plum Coalition. The Pink and Plum Coalition is a group of middle school and high school students, who have wanted Keishin to redevelop their progress and reform policies through their decision making” said Manami.
“As far as concerned, the New Keishin, the Democratic Party and the Japanese Communist Party are having their own policies whilst the Prestigious Keishin accepts the One Keishin Policy that was made by former President Nanami Fujimura” said Rina.
“As an independent group, the Prestigious Keishin eyes a majority for the grade level committee, which is composed of six. Their partner, the Pink and Plum Coalition, will also eye a majority for middle school and high school grade level committees. I will be expecting that Mitsuki Ōnishi will be calling a meeting soon to know about the upcoming election” said Minae.
“Right now, Mitsuki said that her party is expected to field one representative for each level and seven to nine candidates for six committees. Although the first to third grade students aren’t allowed to run under the political parties, they will be running as independent candidates in their document of papers” said Sachiko.
Rina shows her groupmates the election results of last year’s grade level committee. “Take a look at the last year’s election.”
The Magenta Girls look at the results of last year’s committee and they found out that Rei Kanazawa’s ticket had won many seats.
“Rei’s ticket had won all committees but failed to sweep the seats. In her class, Ryōta Nakamura, Sakura Uehara, Sora Fukutomi, Koji Nakagaichi and Daiki Mitsugi were elected while I was elected for the fifth grade level committee” said Fūko.
“That is correct, Fūko. This year, we’re expecting to elect new committee members to run for our class and also, when the next year’s student election will be held this February, we’ll nominate our party mates before sending it to the election committee” said Hikaru.
“But wait a minute, Hikaru, how does the term last?” asked Minae.
“The entire school year. Right after the closing ceremony of the third and final term, we will end the term immediately. However, for some reasons, graduating students will vacate their seats early before the non-grads follow suit” said Hikaru.
“Then, what happened after that?” asked Minae.
“The seats will be vacant until the next year’s election. On the other hand, the election for the section assembly will be elected on the first week of the first term. If he/she is announcing his/her bid to run for the grade level committee, he/she may have a chance to hold two positions if elected” said Hikaru.
“Ah, okay. I understand what you said, Hikaru. The political parties are barred for running in the section assembly, but only allowed in the student council organization, which includes the grade level committee and the student assembly” said Minae.
“You got it, Minae!” said Hikaru.
“Rina, who proposed the amendment to increase the number of seats in the student assembly?” asked Manami.
“That’s all of us, but Erika was the one who made that idea because Keishin had increased their number of enrollees for the last five years. It was been planned since Keishin has started to progress their reputation. Of course, the Prestigious Keishin wanted to make their school more progressive” said Aimi.
Rina shows the diagram of the current legislature of the Keishin Academy Elementary School Student Council. “Our current board is composed of the following: Erika Satō (PK, president), Tomoe Kintoki (PK, vice president), Minori Uesaka (PK, secretary), Ryōtaro Arata (NK, treasurer), Kiyohide Horigome (PK, auditor), Naoki Kiyotake (NK, public relations officer), Yoshiki Hasebe (PK, sergeant-at-arms) and Akitoshi Itō (NK, peace officer).”
“Since we didn’t sweep the executive board, we still have their promises to take and once they succeed, Keishin will be more developed to have numerous accomplishments this year” said Manami.
“Yeah, it seems that our schoolmates need to step up before the upcoming election and hopefully, we will be able to cooperate with them. Also, different organizations will be able to cooperate with us as well as to maintain our relations with them” said Hikari.
“I agree with that, Hikari!” said Sachiko. Sachiko would bring a notebook. “So, yesterday, I met Yumi Kaneda and current treasurer of Shiromidai Elementary School Hiroe Tomizawa. They said to me that Shiromidai had overhauled their school policies, which they are either revised or removed from their student handbook.”
“Are violations for lates and absences revised too?” asked Asami.
“Yes, they were. It seems that Shiromidai had recently controlled the situation regarding the student punctuality where some student would rather drop out from the class or take a sabbatical leave” said Sachiko.
“Ah, I see. It looks like they are very progressive and very liberal” said Asami.
“Yes, indeed, Asami” said Sachiko.
“So, who are part of the Shiromidai Elementary School Student Council?” asked Minae.
“The current President of the Shiromidai Elementary School Student Council is a member of Jun’s Angels, Kurumi Nukui. She is a member of Kōsaten-hatsu” said Sachiko.
“Hey, I know Kurumi, Sachiko! That girl lived in Den-en-chōfu, my hometown” said Haruka.
“Ah, I believe that you know her, Haruka! That girl is ambitious and she’s always siding with her older brother, Kyō. She mended her problems with Jun, Nozomi and Sora after both bands, Dragon≒Nuts and Lien de Famille, merged to create Jun’s Angels” said Sachiko.
“Well, that new band was so lovely to give their harmony out with their hearts” said Haruka.
“Yeah, that’s true. So, shall I continue?” said Sachiko.
“Okay, Sachiko!” said the Magenta Girls.
“Go ahead” said Minae.
“The vice president is a fifth grader Shinji Hiraishi (KHS), the secretary is Jun Gotō (KHS), the treasurer is Hiroe Tomizawa (KHS), the auditor is Motosuke Ichimada (KHS), the public relations officer is Sanae Hirao (KHS), the sergeant-at-arms is Yukio Fukatsu (independent) and the peace officer is Kairi Tanaka (NLGS). Hiroe and Sanae are formerly part of the Kaneda administration where Hiroe was the sergeant-at-arms and Sanae was the Deputy President of the Student Assembly” said Sachiko.
“So, that’s why Jun had become the secretary of the student council for her cooperation with Kurumi. Isn’t that right, Sachiko?” said Hikari.
“Yes, Hikari. Jun and Kurumi were no longer rivals after their bands have been merged to create Jun’s Angels. While Kurumi becomes the President, Jun becomes the Secretary. They have currently worked together in the student council and in their group” said Sachiko.
“Well, that was a nice connection between the two of them. I hope that both Kurumi and Jun will be able to help the Student Council to amend new policies for the students to follow” said Hikari.
“They’re definitely going to be fine to make Shiromidai more progressive like the other schools did” said Sachiko.
“I’m sure that you shared to us about the Shiromdiai Elementary School Student Council. I believe that their group was very active in school because they are in favor of reforming the school policies. Some of the members of the Kōsaten-hatsu are Catholic students like Jun, Nozomi and Sora” said Rina.
“Yeah, Shiromidai is one of the few schools that have Catholic students because of their faith in God. As I’m a Catholic student, I want to keep my faith in God and hopefully, I will be able to help everyone, especially Rina, to grow our friendship” said Fūko.
“Well, you have to keep your faith in God because I believe that you’re generous to anyone who has pure hearts” said Rina.
“Yeah, of course, Rina!” said Fūko.
“I hope that we would be ready to make an action for the students to step in because Erika had a lot of plans to do and she and her executive board have to discover more about the school policies of our school” said Asami.
“Yes, it is, Asami! I’m glad that we’re all together in the same page and hopefully, we will be able to work together!” said Rina.
“Yeah!” said the Magenta Girls.
“So, when are we going to the Misawa Resort Hotel?” asked Manami.
“I don’t know, Manami, but I wasn’t called by Erika yet. I have a feeling that on Friday, we should meet with the other members of the Prestigious Wind Ōta” said Rina.
“I would be delighted if our friends will be joining with us. We should also plan about the upcoming general assembly” said Fūko.
“Of course, Fūko! Good thing that we don’t want to forget that event. Erika said that the general assembly will be held on May 7 at the Elementary School Auditorium” said Rina.
“I would be glad if we should start building some ideas for the general assembly. Isn’t that right, Rina?” said Hikaru.
“Yeah, Hikaru. I think we should discuss the things for the general assembly next week” said Rina.
“Oh, okay!” said Hikaru.
“Well, that concludes our meeting for today. I don’t know if we’re ready to take actions, but we’re ready to be brave. Right, girls?” said Rina.
“Yeah!” said the Magenta Girls.
“So, let’s close the meeting for now. I hope that we’re ready to make progress for our student council and our school. Let’s work together to make a successful year in our group and our student council!” said Rina.
“Okay!” said the Magenta Girls. The Magenta Girls are ready to step up this year, so that they are going to make Keishin more progressive just like in Shiromidai, which their student council is more focused on supporting the reformation of their school policies. With their prestigious hearts and perfective determination through their mind and hustle, the Magenta Girls are very confident to bring their plans for the student council and for the Keishin Academy.

And there you have it! Volume 6 is officially completed at last! It’s been four months that I completed another volume since the first update, Chapter 75, was published on August 30. I know that it’s a bit of a challenge that I had to accomplish and I’m satisfied with good results when I’m remembering the words from the start up to the end of the volume. It’s great that the New Camellian Dragons were recognized by the Bravehearts and their partnership between both sides would boost their chances in reviving the Dragons of Ōta. Now, I believe that you’re all set for a new volume and hopefully, it’s going to be a set of challenges for everyone as the Ōmori Invitationals will about to begin soon. So, Volume 7 will start on January 9 (Wednesday) with the aftermath of the big training at the Recreational Center and a set of meetings at the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel with the Bravehearts and their allies. I will see you on January 9 (Wednesday) for another special update of Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts!

UP NEXT: Chapter 97: “The Nighbreak, the Starlight and the Charm” [Start of Volume 7]
