"From Fireworks to Cherry Blossoms" Part 2
The players of Team Kadokawa were outside along with the members of the Bravehearts as they see the view of the ocean. On the other hand, the boys of the Bravehearts have battled against Team Ogata.
“Michiko, it was a fun game for both of us and I believe that you are the girl with miracles on your aura” said Tomoka.
“Thanks, Tomoka. But I believe you deserve to be the girls with miracles on your aura” said Michiko, then she turns to her teammates where they agree to what Michiko said. She would turn to Tomoka by saying “It’s your willpower who powers your team with all the blooming performance. You shine the game.”
“Oh, Michiko, you are so kind that you are an adamant girl with all your skills have been grown since I learned the moves, so that you’ll be looked like me” said Tomoka.
“Yeah. I believe that you are a strong basketball ace and I want to thank you for playing with me. It was the best match I ever had” said Michiko.
“Tomoka, she’s showing your appreciation” said Maho.
“Yeah, Tomoka. You have to thank her” said Hinata.
“Thanks, Michiko. I have to be more respectful when you talked to me and probably, it’s my best match I played so far after the game against Suzuridani” said Tomoka.
“See, Michiko, she knows about you. As you know, we believe that you are impressed on your playing skills” said Miyu.
“It’s all about you when you are proving yourself to be the best” said Rena.
“Like Tomoka and Miyu did, you have shown your talents to your teammates and finally bringing your talents to the next level” said Aya Miyakoōji.
“So now, you are ready to play in Kirihara Middle School It’s not your conscience in your heart, but your purification in your heart. It’s your strength” said Megumi.
“Thanks, everyone. I knew that my playing experience will be going higher as soon as possible, but now, I will be playing in Kirihara with all your teachings and practice you made. I’ll be someday battling with everyone” said Michiko.
“You don’t have to be pressured when you’re playing against us. It’s your choice” said Risa.
“Yeah. That’s why I supposed that I will be teaming with my new friends in Kirihara to battle against anyone who have been friends with me during the days in Shiromidai” said Michiko.
“We know that you’re going to be in Kirihara, but since we’re going to Den-en-chōfu Middle School on Thursday, you’ll meet some of the new faces soon” said Hitomi.
“Yeah. I believe that I will have many rivals when I’m entering middle school” said Michiko.
“Yes, it is. All of the players have many decisions to play and whenever they will meet in the competitions, it’ll be a big challenge. I dare to battle you, Michiko” said Yōko.
“As always, there are many of our leaders in the six teams have been trained by Tomoka and her teammates. We wanted to become stronger as long as we’ll be participating in competitions” said Naoko.
“Are you sure that you’ll be playing in the Ōta League?” asked Michiko.
“Of course, if we have time to participate soon. Maybe by summer, that’s going to be our time to join the competitions for the qualification to the Ōta League Cup” said Naoko.
“Ah, okay. I’ll come to your team if we can work it out for the tournament” said Michiko.
“Okay!” said Naoko.
“It’s so nice that Michiko will have a big competition she will be playing” said Saki.
“Yeah. The Hasegawa Cup is that tournament that she wanted to help her team to qualify” said Maho.
“Oh, that’s going to be a great time to help her while the other teams will compete too” said Hinata.
“I’m sure that we have many of our friends will prepare their matches for the second round tomorrow. I mean Michiko and her team will play against my friends from Team Fujisaki” said Airi.
“That’s right, Airi. Michiko’s goal is to show her potentials to play against her teammates, in order to win the game. Team Takeda and Team Miyazaki have merged to become Team Kirihara because Michiko and Akiko will be going to Kirihara soon” said Tomoka.
“Oh, yeah. Their determination to become the best duo outside us will be greatly ensured to be higher than the others” said Mimi.
“I hope that Michiko will see of her potentials going high soon” said Tomoka.
“Yeah!” said the members of the Bravehearts.
“Asuna, Yōko, why are you resting during the first half?” asked Kazuko.
“It’s because we’re already playing our first game against Suzuridani. So, we decided to talk to Megumi to take a rest for the first half and then, we’re playing in the second half. It was a good game to battle against Aya” said Asuna.
“Aya was so good that she battled us and probably, she didn’t lose her speed and stamina like Kagetsu and Miho” said Yōko.
“Oh, so that’s why you’re performing well in that game” said Kazuko.
“Yeah” said Asuna and Yōko.
“I’m so glad that the three of you were doing great” said Kagetsu.
“Yeah” said Michiko Nobutoki, Aya Shimōjo and Miho.
“When you played against us, you’re performing so fast that you can block or shoot” said Michiko Nobutoki.
“It seems that you beat us all three when you execute that new move Maho invented” said Aya Shimōjo.
“Oh, I think you’re talking about the Illuminating Fireworks” said Kagetsu.
“Yeah!” said Michiko Nobutoki, Aya Shimōjo and Miho.
“How did you do that?” asked Miho.
“Well, Maho was very determined to play in every game. Everyone in Keishin knows what Maho did. She shows appreciation to her teammates and friends like us. Right now, when her momentum goes high, she activates the Fireworks move to begin releasing shots perfectly” said Kagetsu.
“We perform faster while the stamina and lateral quickness grows higher” said Tsubaki.
“Since then, Maho did a great job in holding the game to victory” said Hiiragi.
“And to top of that, the Illuminating Fireworks became more dominant than the Sakura Connection” said Kagetsu.
“Oh, I see. So, that’s why you have gained the momentum of your team and your strengths going stronger” said Aya Shimōjo.
“Yeah” said Kagetsu, Tsubaki and Hiiragi.
“I can’t believe that we’re beaten by that move before Michiko enters the game” said Mieko.
“You really know what our predictions gone true or not, but of course, I observed anything in the court including you and your teammates” said Kagetsu.
“Well, that was a nice play you got there, Kagetsu” said Mieko.
“Thank you, Mieko” said Kagetsu.
“Even our attributes were down due to struggles, we power up with our strengths in order to get the job done” said Masami.
“I believe that the Miracle Run can able to match with the Illuminating Fireworks. Right?” said Rei.
“No, it’s not. Illuminating Fireworks move is where everyone sparks excitement to perform faster like a firework” said Himeko.
“You really think they’re booming the game like we did?” asked Rei.
“Yes, it is. And to conclude that, we only made this for us to win games whenever there’s a mismatch or a screen, we need that to change the field of the game” said Himeko.
“Yeah, I like that move. But maybe, can we create of our own?” said Rei.
“Well, you can do that, but in order to do that, you have to master the skills you made, in order to come up of a plan” said Kagetsu.
“Okay!” said Rei, Michiko Nobutoki, Aya Shimōjo, Mieko and Miho.
The members of the Bravehearts and Team Kadokawa were laughing, talking and enjoying while they see the sun in the afternoon. At the Recreational Center, Junichi Kaimsaka plays against Daisuke Kikuchi in the battle between Team Bravehearts and Team Ogata. The boys of the Bravehearts were currently in a lead with the score of 40-35.
Daisuke dribbled the ball while Junichi guarding him. Then, Daisuke would shoot the ball with the three-point shot and the shot was good. The score is now 43-35.
The next scene Daisuke drives past on Junichi and Kōichirō and then, shoots the ball with the layup. The score is now 49-38.
Natsuhi battles against Nagamasa Miwa in a rematch that they face each other in the finals of the intramurals last January. Natsuhi would perform the behind the back move and drives past on Nagamasa to shoot the ball with the jumper. The ball drives to the basket and the score is 56-46.
Later, when the time is about to run out, Junichi would perform the behind the back move on Daisuke and then, shoots the ball with the floater. Then, the game is over with the score of 61-54 with the boys of the Bravehearts win the game against Team Ogata.
The boys of the Bravehearts celebrate their victory with Natsuhi was impressed by Junichi Kamisaka on his performance and both of them shook their hands.
In the evening, the members of the Bravehearts and the team leaders from each group talk about the tomorrow’s matches for the Hasegawa Cup and also, Subaru made some announcements. His team won against Team Mizusaki, despite without him, Banri and Kazunari. The score was 77-60 with Takumi Ōhata scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds.
“First and foremost, with the submission of the teams to enter the Hasegawa Cup, at least 10 schools will play for the boys’ and girls’ divisions. Six teams will be allocated for the community teams including the ones from the Bravehearts Group” said Subaru.
“So, that would be sixteen teams. Right?” said Tomoka.
“Yeah. And on the top of that, the draw will be revealed tomorrow after the qualifying games. The Dark Star Nights, Golden Hagisaka, Edogawa Outsiders and Chibuya Sonicbooms will be confirmed to participate at the cup. Rena, since you will be playing in Suzuridani, your community team will participate without you” said Subaru.
“Yeah. I give the permission to play with Suzuridani and the coach says okay to play with them” said Rena.
“Great! Now, you’ll be ready to face off against some opponents in the Hasegawa Cup. It’s going to be your first tournament to play, Rena” said Miyu.
“Yeah, I’ll have to help my team to win the tournament. Is that right, Miyu and Aya?” said Rena.
“Yeah!” said Miyu and Rena.
“Now, we’re going to talk about tomorrow’s games for the qualifiers of the Hasegawa Cup. The matches will be played at the Basketball Courts outside the Recreational Center where the four spots for each division will be at stake to advance to the main tournament” said Subaru.
Here are the following games to be played tomorrow at the Basketball Courts of the Misawa Resort Hotel.
Boys’ Division
Orange and Fuchsia-Team Hayashida vs. Dazzled Hearts-Team Matsuda
Family of Angels-Team Angels vs. Innocent Charm-Team Satō
Innocent Charm-Team Kanazawa vs. Team Aurora
Team Blue and Yellow vs. Dazzled Hearts-Team Shimōjo
Girls’ Division
Innocent Charm-Team Kanazawa vs. Dazzled Hearts-Team Shimōjo
Family of Angels-Team Kirihara vs. Orange and Fuchsia-Team Fujisaki
Family of Angels-Team Angels vs. Innocent Charm-Team Satō
Dazzled Hearts-Team Nagasaki vs. Team Aurora
“So, these matches will determine the four spots for each division to qualify to the main tournament. After that, in the evening, we’ll reveal the drawing of lots for the Hasegawa Cup. I see Miraku Elementary School and Kikuchiba Academy in the lists of participating schools for the main tournament” said Subaru.
“Now, since the rule is that we’ll allocate at least one team to qualify that was registered, no doubled teams. That means that we’ll pick the wildcard team to qualify if we’ll see a group had two or more teams qualify at the same time to prevent bias” said Aoi.
“Of course, that would be fine if we’ll pick the other groups who lost in the second round” said Subaru.
“Then, finally, the enrollment for the Keishin Academy is now complete, which means that our members will finally start acquiring new members in the group and also, going to expand it outside Keishin like in Kirihara” said Banri.
“That’s why we’re hopefully going to start working together once the next school year starts” said Kazunari.
“Subaru, Aoi, Banri, Kazunari,” said Mihoshi, who appeared from the dining room. “Dinner’s ready for your team!”
“Okay, auntie, we’ll be right here” said Subaru. “Sorry, everyone, let’s continue this later. We’re going to eat first. Okay. See you later!” Subaru, Aoi, Banri and Kazunari left the conversation as they will be eating their dinner since the members of the six teams have already ate their foods.
The members of the Bravehearts and the team leaders of each group continue talking about the Hasegawa Cup.
“Now, tomorrow, it’s the continuation of the qualification of the Hasegawa Cup and this will be your chance to qualify to the main tournament. With the tournament is set in a few days, we’ll going to confirm the four teams to represent the Bravehearts Group for the Hasegawa Cup” said Tomoka.
“In the other news, Subaru said that his father has planned to create another invitational tournament this summer. It will happen after the qualifiers for the middle school national tournament. So, this means that once the prefectural tournament ends, we’re going to have another tournament to be created between July and August” said Saki.
“Right now, we have six teams to participate at the qualification of the Hasegawa Cup and hopefully, we’re going to have this in other tournaments soon. We have many teams to participate at any competition for the Hasegawa Cup and probably, I was thinking if each team will participate in separate invitational tournaments” said Airi.
“Oh, that’s a great question, Airi” said Maho. “Now, as the school year is about to begin, the Ōta League has numerous activities to organize and it’s free to enter except for the qualification to the Emperor’s Cup and the Empress’s Cup.On the other hand, the Keishin Academy basketball team will be planning to participate the middle school and elementary school district tournament this coming summer and winter.”
“This would be the idea of having our youth tournaments to be our main focus of the Bravehearts. However, we will be very busy to have school time and works on weekdays. Probably, this would give the idea of participating the youth tournaments, which will be held on Saturdays and Sundays. As we’re going to have holidays, we’ll have to participate the Ōta League tournaments as long as Subaru gives us the permission to participate” said Hinata.
“To bring you some ideas, we will have some future tournaments to be held as we’re targeting six tournaments to be representing the Bravehearts Group. First, there’s a Golden Week on the weekend and that’s why we’re going to participate this event. So, I was impressed with your performances at the match earlier and your performances will be depending on what we recommended to participate” said Mimi.
“In light of the Golden Week next month, there will be a youth tournament that will be available to middle school and high school students. The Partners Cup will be available for only people who were in work. Finally, there’s another tournament which was organized by the Pink Haired Students Club. So, only the Innocent Charm will participate in the tournament” said Tsubaki.
“To be clear, everyone, we’re open for submissions to enter the tournament as long as you can. Also, we will hold a tournament for the qualification to the Ōta League Cup where the winner will represent the Bravehearts Group for that event. Winners of the invitationals will automatically qualify for the main tournament, even with the selected runners-up to join the event too” said Hiiragi.
“As we grow on expanding the Bravehearts into different schools, we are going to support them in the tournaments they participate and to collaborate with them. At the time where the summer vacation begins, we’re planning to have activities to work out before and after the tournament. Everyone needs to enjoy the activities from time to time until we worked out in the end” said Kagetsu.
“In our think tank ideas on our brains, we want you to step up for the upcoming tournaments and also, to participate at the activities organized by the Bravehearts. Our goal is to have one big family of friends who have strong willpower and passion hearts to enjoy playing basketball. It’s your own opportunity to participate and one day, you’ll be stronger like us” said Masami.
“With the six groups created, they’ll be participating at the Ōta League invitational tournaments separately. It depends on the team leaders to participate and on the other hand, we allow training with each group on every other day. If we’re busy for assignments, we’re going to have separate activities to do” said Natsuhi.
“I want to know about your thoughts for future tournaments in the Ōta League” said Tomoka.
“Well, since we have many members in the team, there’s one thing we can do. We’re going to assign some teams to participate in the tournament” said Megumi.
“Okay if they’re available to participate or not. But for some reason, there are some limitations in the league where we’re only participating the youth tournaments” said Tomoka.
“I prefer that we’re going to assign teams for specific tournaments once the next tournament comes out” said Risa.
“That’s a great suggestion, Risa! Now, Maho” said Saki.
“So, we’re going to divide the participation of teams into groups. So, it depends on what the tournament stands, it will be accommodated to any team” said Maho.
“I allowed every team to participate at the Hasegawa Cup, but when we’re entering to the next tournament, it will be first come, first serve basis” said Tomoka.
“Minor tournaments will be held for qualification to the tournaments and for summer, there will be many tournaments to participate and it’s up to everyone who will join” said Airi.
“By the way, summer tournaments will be held on weekdays instead of weekends and the Ōta League activities are loaded with limitations. So, we’re going to avail the teams at least one or two” said Hinata.
“What if there will be one group to participate for each tournament?” asked Asuna.
“Then, we’re going to divide the group into teams to participate for the tournament” said Mimi.
“In case of the other teams participating at the other tournaments, we will have alternative teams available to participate in that tournament. This is available only in summer tournaments” said Natsuhi.
“For the upcoming tournaments, we will invite a group to participate in the tournament that will be held every month” said Kagetsu.
“That means that the teams that are joining the group will be participating in that tournament” said Tsubaki.
“For example, the next tournament will be held next month. So, I will be picking any team to participate at the event” said Hiiragi.
“That means that you’ll be playing for that tournament that you’re assigning to. The month of September is the only month that doesn’t have youth tournaments” said Masami.
“Do you understand all the mechanics for the event?” asked Tomoka.
“Yeah!” said the team leaders of each group as they understand the thing to do for the upcoming tournaments in the Ōta League.
“Then, I guess that the meeting is over. So, let’s make sure that we’ll going to participate at the Ōta League while the school year is ongoing” said Tomoka.
“Okay!” said the members of the Bravehearts and the team leaders of each group. The Bravehearts are finally having plans to participate at the Ōta League after the Hasegawa Cup. There will be many things that the Bravehearts will do once it reaches April. The six teams have joined the Bravehearts organization while the other schools are planning to join to that organization. As soon as the Bravehearts are ready, they are ready to show their willpower and strength to dominate the game.
