Storing Anime?

my PC have up to 10 sata port. 6 sata II, 2 sata III, 2 sata II PCIe expansion.
so i have 4x2TB HDD installed in my PC

Checkmate, not everyone has a 120tb system and not everyone can afford it xD.

I know, I just giving out the fact. Though I would never recommend anyone to store their data on a single HDD, atleast make it two. That won't prevent the data from being corrupted randomly but it sure prevent you from losing an entirely 1TB or 2TB of few years of downloads and hard works

Maybe tomorrow someone robs and you lose your 120tb system. (you can tell me where do you hide it, i wont tell anybody )

In case some one steal one, or a nuke hit one of them. I still have the other, with my precious eroge in it.

WAT? 120TB... Impressive... I could buy a car for that kind of money though... So for curiosity's sake: What do you actually use all that space (and more relevantly, the rigorous backup/redundancy) for? Also, if you say 120TB is usable, I'm assume you have another couple of TB set up as a raid mirror (or something)...

I have a couple of cheap internal 2TB drives... And I used to think that's alot...

Eroge nad its related material, such as OP movie, CG Packs, Musics, and more.

Also, if you say 120TB is usable, I'm assume you have another couple of TB set up as a raid mirror (or something)...

Yes, it would be stupid to build something that big without adequate redundancy

I could buy a car for that kind of money though

a month ago my hard drive broke i learned a very good lesson dat FUCK DEM HARDDRIVES. so now i just upload the anime i want to keep on bunch of sites that i have premium account for hehhehe :) well its not a perfect solution but i guess i will put my acounts to use

I don't care about cars either. Currently (especially with my current internet connection) I would have no use for much over a handful of terabytes of storage. I put anime on my 2TB drive, and I was going to finally get RAID for redundancy but I got a DOA one, and am now waiting for the replacement. :)

I think that currently I probably don't even have over 500GB of anime anyways (and I don't do eroge/VNs/etc. ). My 2tb system should last a few years yet, I think. :)

I keep my anime on my cousin's harddrive, my mother's laptop internal drive, and my 1TB external harddrive. I only started downloading all these HD anime this year, since now my internet is much faster, thus enable me to download more anime in faster rate. xD

Personally for me, I can and will let things go if I can't retrieve it at all. I'm not all bent on getting old data that entertains me. So when there's animation that I don't care of, I have a tendency to delete it off my system. Since there's always going to be internet and someone having what I want. On the other hand, if everything goes down the drain in the world, like cold war and the like, I'll be too busy trying to survive than worry about these things.

Yeah, I already usually delete anime if I don't like it at all. I have lots of it still kicking around just because I have tons of space still. I think when my 2tbs start to fill up, I may sooner start deleting things rather than looking at more storage right away. :P

So far I only have a SSD for OS and programs, and then 2tb of storage (two mirrored drives). I also have some externals, but I don't really use them anymore. I'm considering transferring everything onto my main drives so it is all properly backed up, and because I have the space anyways. If I did that I might be using up 1/4 to 1/3 of my space, and like I said, by the time I fill up the rest of that, I can probably find lots of old junk to delete. :P

I didn't even knew that there was enough eroge material out there that could fill up 120TB of HD space... even if you are storing it since the beginning of time only in the recent years games and such started to grow in size to that point.

Well with 120 TB of space, you can also store game image files, background, art books, music compilations and more. Also possibly video of any sort on top of that. That's probably the main causes of things requiring lots of space to store over time.
