i m looking forward to see "Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below"

Best anime movie... thats a tough question. Not counting movies with series associated with them, Id have to say something like Summer Wars. If I include movies that are related to shows, Unlimited Blade Works would be somewhere near the top.

Summer Wars - good story, good action, non-standard artwork (for at least parts) and overall great.

Honorable mention to everything Ghibli and NGE: Rebuild.

I have to say for me was "My Neighbor Totoro and Castle of Cagliostro". Saw these two anime when they were on VHS when I first got to college and love them since. Still watch them from time to time DVD that is even thought I know what happens through movie.

1. Urusei Yatsura Movie 2 : Beautiful Dreamer (1984)
2. Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu (2010)

both is very melancholic if i would say, perfect for me,,

oh yeah, forgot the one i watch in 2011 early,,

it is Hadashi no Gen Movie 1 (1983) & Movie 2 (1986),,
(Barefoot Gen Movie 1 & 2)

the background is about post-war between JP & USA,
ended with Nuclear Bomb dropped at Hiroshima in 6th of August 1945,,

the main story tells about the effect of that bomb, to Hiroshima citizens (Japan),
the first movie is right after the bombing tragedy,
the second movie take place 3 years after that tragedy happened,,

together with Haruhi no Shoushitsu Movie & Lum Movie 2,
this three movie is the best for me,,

and yeah all of them is very melancholic, as for hadashi no gen, maybe it was more to tragedy,, :D
