The Paranormal. Share your experiences.

Dreams which sort of happen? xD There is someone who told me her dreams predict most of the neutral/negative events that will happen.... didnt sound very pleasant ><

nah not for me. i get instances where i like, remember what happens in a new episode of some show. stuff like that lol

Hm... paranormal experience... I had a similar event like Yee199; during my childhood (I was about 5-6 years old). One night while sleeping in the same bed with my family, I was awaken by a soft call inside the room. Upon opening my eyes, I see 2 people standing in front of the door (facing us), wearing old outfit like traditional army from the medieval ages (not european knights, but Indonesian warriors). Then there's an old lady approaching me while carrying a baby in her arms, asking me to move a little bit to give space for this little baby. I was freaking out, too scared to even letting out any voice, yet my parents were just sleeping there unaware of what happened. I followed what they asked, moving closer to my parent's body, and tried very hard to sleep again (hoping that it was just a dream). I'm not really sure how they went in and out of our bedroom - they can just pass through the closed door as if it was nothing there.

The next morning, I told my parents about my experiences... but they're just laughing at me and told me that it was just a bad dream. Then I suddenly remembered that my little sister (one year younger than me) was also sleeping in the same bed, just behind my back. When I confirmed it with her, she said she knows exactly what I said.. because she watched the whole thing too... @_@

Nine years later, I have a little brother. Coincidence, huh?

Hmm... stuff science cant explain xD

But what does your little brother have to do with it?

redcat; those were probably your ancestors. :D

Oh wait.. I made mistake... my brother came to our family when I was 9 years old, so it was 4 years later - not 9 years later... >_<

@Sammy : dunno~ XD

@Yee199 : yeah, probably.. the outfit they're using came from the same ethnicity as my parents - the Javanese (people from east part of Java island)

Hmm if it was 9 months later than that might have been somewhat more of a coincidence xD

@sammy : yeah... thank goodness it wasn't the case >_<

And that was the last time I can see the 'ghost'. I can still occasionally detect supernatural presence sometimes (sounds of foot steps, door opened/closed, lights on/off, etc), but I can no longer see/interact with them (not that I want to have that kind of ability).

Other paranormal things that happened to me occasionally is precognition dreams. It's usually the near-morning dream (around 4 AM or so). Some are very clear (that give me a 'de-javu' feeling when the event in the dream really does happen), and the others are encrypted with 'symbolism'...

Hmm... it seems that more people have that than i thought... or i guess people just usually dont talk about it? :/

Most people probably wouldn't believe in paranormal experiences anyway... so there's no point of talking about it openly. People with paranormal abilities (such as the indigo people) usually share their stuff in secret groups/communities...

One thing I vividly remember is watching myself sleep for like an hour through somebody else's eyes. I remember thinking "Umm... who am I? Why am I watching... me?" Possibly just a dream, though.

Another thing that happened was that my brother, best friend and I were playing a kind of torch light hide and seek thing in the forest at night. The idea was that we all had to keep moving in the dark and find each other, and to catch them you had to catch them in the light. About ten minutes in, I figured I was right on my brother's heels. I could vaguely make out his profile and hair, and I could hear him moving, but every time I turned on the torch he seemed to slip out of it's way. So I was basically chasing him for about ten minutes and we got pretty deep into the forest. Eventually I heard voices calling my name from back where we started the game. I stopped and listened, then I heard the one I had been chasing say "Come on" in a voice similar to my brother's. I shone the torch towards the source of the voice and just saw a blur running out of it's beam. I realized that the ones calling my name were both my friend and my brother. They were both back at the starting point. Who the Hell was I chasing? I asked 'who's there?'
"Your brother, right?" It replied, and I heard a sound like someone scraping bark as they climbed up a tree. I just turned and ran back as fast as I could and found my brother and friend waiting where we started. Never really felt like playing that again. It could have been some random creep in the woods, or it could have been paranormal. Who knows.

waw... loki, that's a pretty dangerous experience you had there... @_@ thank goodness it let you go...

In Indonesian culture, we have something called 'kuntilanak', a spirits of woman who died while pregnant. She lives near forest/trees, and have a habit of luring kids and kidnaps them.

Hmm... where i live around is also said to be fairly haunted? Theres a police that haunts the park at night and pulls people over to give them a ticket but the people find out that the police had died already?

@Sammy : maybe his twin playing a prank? XD

The most recent and famous paranormal phenomenon in my country is probably the bus-teleport case in Blora, Central Java. A full size passenger bus suddenly trapped in the middle of the forest while running on a night trip, along with two heavy size truck. No scientific explanation was found (yet)...

I dont think so? It happens on halloween or so i hear? Theres actually a lot of ghost stories about that park... its fairly large and stuff...

Which park? I might go there sometime just because of what you're saying :runhappy:

Light in Bathroom went out while I was using the toliet. Freaked me out!

i like urban legends. there's one really popular where i live, though i'm pretty sure there's some version of it everywhere, called la llorona. it's a somewhat long story, but the gyst of it is, she drowned her children in a river, and went home. when she realized what she had done she ran back to the spot, and cracked her head running there. then she cries out "mi hito" and drowns children who follow her voice.

The thing that truly frightens me is sleep paralysis.

One night I went to bed, that night was a regular night.
Minutes later I fell asleep and the next morning I woke up to a shadow laying over me pinning my body down. Fear overcomes my body as I struggle and start crying, I tried to call for help but no sound would come out of my mouth. Later I got out of it and ran into the hall, while light flooded my room, I woke up. It was all a dream and if it was a dream how can it be sleep paralysis? It was so vivid.

Hmm... my friend has sleep paralysis?...

Its Golden Gate Park :goodtea: Its supposedly one of the more haunted areas around here? :/

everyone gets sleep paralysis to stop us from trying to act out our dreams. but it would suck if it lasted to long
