US users and "uploaded.to"

I for one will just wait a while. Uploaded.to's download speed is just so crap that I feel bad to even post those kind of link to users. Not to mention Uploaded.to doesn't support UTF8 which makes my uploads far more difficult to manage.

And if people fall for uploaded.to premium account (which I heard is also very slow) I might as well create my own direct download site and take up those premiums.

Hotfile is out too since it ban user with more than 2 DMCAs.

Yeah, totally agreed - 50kB/s throttling is a joke. Reason I dropped them as soon as other, somewhat stable, hosts emerged.
Currently I'm putting hopes in RapidGator, especially if they manage to get up to speed again - 15 minutes waiting time and 3Mbit/s guaranteed for free users is not too shabby. ;)

No UTF-8 support though. I don't know if there's still any host out there that has, to be honest.

Count only 1 download per IP per day even for free users, probably good enough for CG release but useless for games.
Depositfiles, turbobit and alike have this limit too.

Hooray! Lucky for you. My country blocked it, among other now-former-major file sharing sites.
Look around for a good VPN. I know of a free one but it's so slow you'd die of old age before you load a page.

It's OK, that's what torrent are for. Even if I could get back to Hotfile or Fileserve, the DL speed is killing me or drive me insane.

That... sucks.
Any intel on FiberUpload and 10upload?

I wonder if there is anything actually usable...
That's the question I've been asking myself all through last week, while I burned through twenty or so hosts only to come up with unsatisfactory results. :(

And you seem to be following WJunction pretty closely. :P

Try Bitshare. Used it ages ago. Only abandoned it because i needed UTF8 host to store my archive.

I just know where to get status but I don't actively check WJ. Too many scam hosts around...

Used bitshare a long time ago, but I dropped them because of excessive glitchiness - and anyway, they switched to a rank based program a couple days later. Since I upload more than gets downloaded (not to mention that I have a couple TB of old anime to replace), I tend to end up in the lowest rank pretty fast and get stuck there, which is obviously not all that desirable.

Someone should try to set up a ftp server for some archives.

You never know. FTP at my place have 49.6TB of JACG content. The problem would be to open access right to people you don't know.
I saw someone trying to build a DDL service over at HF but the whole concept looks pretty flawed to me.

It's not that big a deal... As far as porn goes you got this site for game torrents, akiba online for jav, and Share for comics/dojin. It is a little harder to get Japanese console games but in a few months everything should be back to normal and things will get reupped. Just have some patience.

On a moral level though it does piss me off when I see someone supporting sites like ul.to. I'm sure the site makes most of its money from people pirating American content, so for them to ban Americans while some fuck in the third world profits from content he or even his country didn't create, that's kind of a dick move. Just kind of.

Anyway I'm thinking of creating weekly torrent for comics released on Share since some sites have chosen to support these sleazy hosts but I'm not sure if there'd be any interest in that

So even Bitshare is down now...

That is a good idea but it is difficult to track what is new and what is old. It could be months before scanned version is available.

and let unknown people messing and hacking the ftp server? i aint gonna take that risk...

That is old school thinking. It isn't hard to secure the server. Moreover servers are disposable nowadays, if server really get hacked, reinstall OS or cancel the service.

disposing servers? unfortunately im not that rich...

uploaded.to seems down now... unaccessible

It is open to US again but they also took away PPD. And PPS is doing nothing for me. Not to mention even premium have a cap of 5GB/day (or you can charge up to 100GB in the bank) which makes it not very useful.

I am only using it because it is stable and fast to upload.

i can't helped it but to use uploaded, even if they slacked the aff program by 2/3, not until i could find a better place!
and i don't feel like using Hotfile... their purge on 2010 still bring a bad memories for me. there's no guarantee that they will not doing it again

What exactly do you mean the affiliate program became 2/3? Could you pls. give an simple and easy understand example? I did not get it. Please reply.

Uploaded.to reduced the award from 15/1000 Download down to 5/1000 when the other big hosts collapsed. Doesn't matter now though, they took it down to 0/1000 a few days ago.

Hi, ramori. It seems that they fixed the game crashing bug. Would you update it when its available in your timezone? Many thanks.
