What does your family think of you playing games, reading manga, or watching anime?

They know it...and at least they accept it,tried so many time to explain that animes are not cartoons....bored of that so its fine they just accept it.My Mom once found an issue of Animania (famous magazine in germany) with some lolis in swimsuits on the cover....she wanted to talk about that next day because she thought it was some child porn stuff !....i tried to explain then...and so many times after but my family well...they don`t say but i know sometimes they thought im kinda weirdo....from this day on they´ll just accept...its ok,now i don´t care what they actually thinking but sometimes it makes me angry when people don´t even try to understand !

My dad likes a few anime movies and my mom will join us in watching anime movies occasionally. Right now family doesn't mind at all. Thanks to the internet, anime, manga and games are a bit more mainstream and accepted now.

My family doesn't care, some of my friends watch anime, but overall the area I live in is a very religious and 'wholesome' type of community that would frown upon it. Like, REALLY religious. We have tons of churches and stuff...I usually only go out in my free time anymore to go for walks/jogs and to walk to a couple of local places.

omg i can't fathom how terrible it used to be as a kid and growing up as an adult. they always say it makes you stupid, lazy, etc. but as an adult i can say they dont really care as much anymore because the world has become so technologized and they're more accepting of it now. you should watch on netflix a documentary on video games history. pretty enlightening. :)

Actually my parents are ok with that (they approves that "anime" is different from "cartoon" so I'm pretty free in that way.
I have some friends in school that watch anime too so I'm pretty fine.
It seems that everyone's comprensive here (even if in my society anime/manga are seen as childish cartoons/comic books).

I started with anime , manga when i was a teen now am an adult but my father was against and still is against it. Especially because he is an engineer and master has a club for wing chun so he thinks i'm wasting my money and time on this. My mom doesn't care , other family doesn't really know about it . I'm the only child so no brothers or sister i have cousins and there ok with it.
