Although you won't miss too much if you didn't get to participate the beta testing period. Well hope that's the case. Normally it's usually some kind of enhancement on character visuals or something alike. Otherwise, well, you can still enjoy without the extras that came with the beta event.

Rumors are being thrown around that they might not do a server release at the NA location. But if they do go for it, I advise you to go into beta mode and pick up then. Otherwise just wait till the Sea version is up and have fun on that server till then. So if they do release the NA server (unlikely at the moment) then you got a head start on what build you want and how to deal with bosses. The current cap at the Japanese Server was level 70 from what I last recall however...

Recently got back to Path of Exile again, I played it some time ago. But they added a new League called "Ambush", where you can find random maps where at the end of the map you get a "Corrupted" version of a gem that already exists, modifying it in a way.
