While the Metal Gear games normally aren't a "tug at the heart strings" kind of game and more in the "I don't even know what's going on... but I like it" vein, I will say, once everything comes together at the end of Snake Eater... there are some definite feels to be had.
muvluv trilogy, first two parts are really boring, the slog is real but I was told they add more to the story. Good thing I sit through it all because it all paid off, the last chapter wrapped things up perfectly. The game ruined my visual novel experience. It was so good that I couldn't find visual novels that were better or as good.
Outer Wilds; That fucking realisation as you finish the dlc, and the after-credits scene of the main game‘s ending had me in shambles. I never knew non-linear storytelling could hit so hard…
Text-to-play games are usually more likely to resonate emotionally through story directions. I think Japanese games will have advantages in this regard.

- Due to my brother final wishes to play GoW Ragnarok I am the one to do his final wishes. His brok funeral is remind me of him.

Original Pokemon Mystery dungeon. After spendings hours upon hours delving and growing attachment to your team, it can get emotional and hits hardest the first time you play though, knowing your original goal of becoming human once again and parting ways as of result.
