Why I Like Otome Games

Oh well, back in time I was ugly, fat and - after starting learning japanese in university - someone even called me 'nerd'. I guess I was way too alone, so some random R18 otome really made me feel a bit better. Heck, because of some MCs I even started to make myself pretty, eat less and don't give a flyin' f about anyone. I began to work and somehow realized that my inner self is huge doS.

Speaking about type of games..ugh, art doesn't matter to me that much. Totally seiyuu-biased, loving to death all nakige/utsuge, heavy plot stuff, and welp, I'm starting to smile like a creeper, when there is kuudere. Damn they are adorable.
Oh and when there is porn, I don't need story at all. PwP for win heuheuheuheu.

TL;DR otome games pretty much made me beautiful office lady, who is dating her PSP 24/7, while dog makes dinner to both of us, lol. Hope I'll be able to introduce otome games to my kids..Probably imaginary kids.

I think I like otome games because back then when I was a little girl, I used to read lots of shojo mangas. I still wanted to read more but I've read most of it and was looking for something else then I ended up on otome games. At first i played the free ones and I heard the games of Otomates are good (since some are made into animes) so I entered this world...
Also, I guess I like love stories generally but now what keeps me playing is yandere and bishies...lol
the art and the story are important unless the game is not made by a individual person...what i dont like is the boring yet long story without any moe or bishie in it...

I love Visual Novels in general, but I prefer Otome Games because I feel more confortable playing as a girl for some reason (and I don't even self-insert).

I loved Bishounen & Ikemen from the beginning.
and sometimes i wish "ah, the heroine should have ended up with that guy " or "these couple are so great together, why isn't there any romance!?"

so i love otome games because i can choose the love story the heroine is going to have, and I go doki doki more than animanga (*´˘`*)♡

and i don't like harem but in otome games you can capture many guys without harem ( except if you choose so) but i like seeing harem ends in otoges as well ( ՞ਊ ՞)

I started off reading lots of shoujo manga as a kid (from nakayoshi, hanato yume and asuka comics.). I think when I was in high school (年ばれちゃうかな？）I started off playing Angelique series after I played Tokimeki Memorial. In Japan (back then...っていつ？), Tokimeki Memorial popularized renai simulation games. However, otome games and renai games were still limited back then、 so for some reason, I started playing Douｋyusei series　etc. ちょっと兄ーさん達に変体扱いうけたけどいいさ。。。

Anyway, I still prefer playing R-18 otome since the story line is more mature and interesting. でも、these days, I also play all age's otome games since the story line have improved. In other words, there is actually a story. たとえば、死神と少女なんかいい例。

I love otome games that have good storytelling, and I especially love adult-rated otome games, because the love scenes remind me of romance novels (including Harlequin). Also, they make me squee!

Besides making it easier to memorize new kanji and the like, I enjoy a good story and scary/creepy/frightening characters.

The reason I play otome game because of the artworks, Seiyuu and of course , learning Japanese . Thank for otome game , I can find out some Japanese's culture , even sometimes , it makes me forget my real world

I don't really have much of a reason beyond that: I just really enjoy the 'game' aspect of going for routes and I really like to see character interactions of any kind so I guess that qualifies as the reason why I play otome games? It's a pretty weak, huh? Maybe that's why I'm not a completionist...

I play games mainly because of the seiyuu involved, especially if they're a part of my bias. Really dangerous reason too, because my favorite seiyuu either are frequently casted in R18 games or casted in really questionable roles..

Other than that, I like reading VN and being a heroine in a story which unfolds because of the choices I made as a girl without having to worry too much about being too offended for about 98% of the time. My experience with eroge's really worn me out when it comes to dealing with boys as my main character. I also do it for the art!

Before I know otome games, I play some galge. Then I starting to wonder, isn't there any game that opposite from galge? I want the protagonist to be a girl and dating many hot guys. I try to look up about it, then found "reverse harem" term (honestly, that time I was so stupid that doesn't know about that fact) So, I was like "ooh, there's also exist a bunch of guys loving one girl" haha
Since then, my journey to the otome worlds has began ohohoho~~

Why I love otome game? It because I can hear guys do the sweet talks to me. That's the only main reason for me. Of course, now it branching and become: I want to hear my bias seiyuu talks sweet things to me xD
