Re: World of Warships Admirals Lounge
When you beat my 3.8K record, then I'd be impressed.
Oh come on, I barely played more than 10 games in my Yamato due to how shit the economy is >_>
Somehow, I don't even want to know. As much as I like carrier being able to sport DD, majority of the high tier game where there is a Midway on your or enemy team, they practically just go around sniping whatever ship they can find. The game lack of Recon plane for CV is unreal, because Recon plane played such a big role in spotting enemy, it would introduce a new sort of role for carrier instead of using their active fighter/bomber to go spot enemy.
But I still hate the fact how WG says Defensive Firing counter CV, it honestly doesn't do shit all against a Carrier who launcher their torpedo literally 1 km away from your ship, even with the disrupted spread, battleships will still eat around 8 torps, if not 10 from Midway, cruiser practically just get nuked even with a smaller profile. That's I think is the problem with CV, too much AA on ships render them unable to launch meaningful torp, defensive AA is practically useless on high tier other than to shoot down returning planes. Beefing AA by sailing together, is kind of what you suppose to do, however cruiser tend to herpderp their way to hunt enemy BB/DD/CA because shooting planes by escorting barely reward you for anything, thus because of how shit the high tier economy works it doesn't even make escorting appealing to any ships other than those who platoon.
All in all I think there lies the problem of even when CV is mirrored, the moment one CV go down before the other is practically game changer because of how CV is able to deal damage without taking any in return, and immensely frustrating when trying to find them at corners of the map if you happen to have lost your team's CV. It will take some real CV redesign in order to make CV "balanced" where it is fair to both CV captains and those who face CV captain, because making it fair for CV normally result in unfairness of those who face them, making it fair for those who face them tends to result in CV being useless.
