Your first eroge?

Which eroge was the first one you ever played? And how old were you when you played it?

Mine was school days HQ. Pretty hardcore title for the first visual novel to play. But know what's worse? I was 12.

Doushin (Crowd) in English. Probably was 13 then. First full Japanese eroge would be ToHeart 2 Xrated around the same time. I didn't understand any Japanese.

Must say though, eroge gave a semblance of direction to my life back then...

Mine is Tenshin Ranman. I got into in in my PSP. I was 12 and did not know that picking the same characters will make me go into their route. I went to the normal route a lot of times.

I really started to like eroge around that age since I felt more was conveyed in a game than a rush anime with 12 episodes.

It's been so long I don't remember which was first, but it's probably one of Divi-Dead, Three Sisters Story and Gloria (all English releases). I was around 14 or so at the time (/oldman) and more into these dark, violent titles than I am now that I'm past my teenage years. My first Japanese VN was あの晴れわたる空より高く that I played after a loooong break from VNs, to test my Japanese level after exiting University.

True Love back on MS-DOS, I'd say I was 15 at the time. Then there was Season of the Sakura and Knights of Xentar.

Three sisters story, and after that jumped into Da Capo in its "Archimedes no Wasuremono" form when I purchased that at pure random thanks to a friend of mine back on that era... So 2000-2001 was when I took more interest into VN stuff, before that... To Heart could say it was a good start (found a copy of it around p2p by luck) and recently purchased the very 1st edition to replay that one along with Shizuku and Kizuato which I own in its first releases for many years.

So... tl;dr I did like things like Sakura-iro no Kisetsu(Seasons of the Sakura), San Shimai(Three Sisters Story), Power DoLLS(even made me do a complete collection of this series and play most of them, also look for other games from same company as Sequence Palladium or Angelic Serenade)... True Love maybe i did discover that one a little later, circa 2004-05, while I was excited to see what Circus was going to make of other series and their anime adaptations... Those were the early days on the hobby, for sure. Miss Hongfire when it was it's true form, but IRC brought some interesting stuff as well before Hongfire, aside from other P2P.

Ever since then I've just play/read whatever Visual Novels I came across, I personally prefer playing the VNs officially localized or translated by JAST USA, Mangagamer, and Sekai Project...

I didn't really want to struggle playing Visual Novels like using some VNR apps and AppLocale since I couldn't read Japanese unfortunately...

I just want to keep it all simple and smooth as possible! :)

Cant remember, but the oldest eroge I remember playing is SIRIUS`s Maid-san Spirits!

As I remember, the first eroge what I have played
was Futsuu no Fantasy and I was 13.

At that time I had already fully understood Japanese speaking
and could read hiragana and katakana, and solved reading the
unreadable kanji with ITH + Translation Aggregator + Atlas.
Also, as I remember that game needed an H-code to hook text
correctly, so I have got it from AGTHDB, what is now dead.

I have played only the route of リブラ, what had a really great
impact on me.

Since then I am an eroge addict, and especially like fantasy
games which well combine together AVD, RPG and SLG.

Believe it or not, while I've played many games over the years, and been a fan of anime and the occasional hentai, I hadn't played any until this last year. So my first eroge was Princess-X. I think it's because I hadn't found any in English when I first looked that I hadn't given it a thought until now. Now there are dozens, and even more games like with a couple of sites that I regularly use, but sometimes you just get that itch for a game that most other sites won't carry. That's how I found this site, looking for two VN that were no longer in circulation, and even no longer listed with the creator websites, but hosted on some website that wanted me to pay 25 bucks just to access their site for a month. The only thing is, I'm unsure if even this website has a english patch for the two games I found here, and I hate having to copy and paste text over and over again just to read an interesting eroge, because that kind of kills the point...

Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa o Hirogete, I was about 18, and I played it day in day out during christmas break from Uni break. I still think to this day it is one of the best visual novel out there (behind the Grisaia series and maybe G Senjou n Mao). Just thinking about this novel gets me pumped.

My first eroge was Private Nurse. I was 15 or something. Back then i didn't even knew about eroge at all and thought about it as "some strange game without gameplay". This eroge is great btw.

early 2000 is when first saw eroge but didn't know what it was only that is was porn I liked. It wasn't until 2015 I found out about what vn and eroge were. I was interested since 2000s but I didn't know where to look or how to get access. The first game got was called hentai academy or something and was english game not a real eroge. I tried to get artificial academy to work after that but had no idea how and gave up. I caved into ordering secret wives club/pick me honey bundle. felt so ashamed :( Less than 2 days later I found a tutorial how to install artificial academy. Since then haven't looked back.
