Simply because they do not honor no-reuploading, I offered that they can copy but only after 2 weeks, and the answer was no. So we will take all the peers first so they are left with less, or better, none.

Putting a txt file / description into iso is useless because they will just remove it and put in their own.
You are free to download from someone else, and you will certainly get it later than downloading from us.

I believe that provide a game with 3-5 days of delayed seeding is better than having everyone wait for 10-14 days as before.
For the karma, we are the ONLY source of several games out there. It is explicit enough we tell everyone the seeding will be completed on a certain date.

You get to know
1. We will start seeding the game on X date
2. We will finish seeding the game on Y date
Which we believe is far better than wasting time, sitting in front of Share/Nyaa/PD/freenet all-day for weeks to come, hoping a game will come out, and then the same on when will it finish. It is less stress for everyone.

You can suggest any workable way we are listening. You may not accept our way right now but you will eventually once we monopolize the scene. Not happy with that scenario? They can always buy their own game and release. Then we will copy their release within 5 minutes, and they will be begging us NOT to copy. If they treat us this way surely we can do the same. If karma was real i'm sure FTW will only be in plus, because those guys are only source of some games. i myself don't mind waiting for seeding to finish, i have plenty of games to play.

Count me in the group that is thankful to anyone willing to share self purchased games via torrent--downloading large games via ddl is a real pain in my book.
It wasn't that many years ago that large games would take 2 to 3 days to dl from an individual (some former HF folks probably remember taking a week to dl one of FHC's games via his dial-up connection). Some may be anxious to play a certain game but if you don't have a backlog you're working on you must be a newbie--so a little patience is a good thing.
Lastly everyone should have noticed that the number of games not showing up each month keeps increasing. Maybe this will change back to the old ways when every game showed up on share or pd but I wouldn't count on it. If there is a new paradigm as far as acquiring new games in effect just be glad some folks are helping out.

1. As a suggestion - please add that Y date into torrent comments. For one, I almost never read anything on this forum. I just download from nyaatorrents' rss feeds. And when I see a torrent hanging there for days with little progress I tend to abort it and become a little angry, especially if slow speed isn't a result of bad ISP connection.
I don't care about long release time or whatever, but long downloading time is a killer - because my torrent ratio skyrockets to 50-100-200 on these slow torrents while they are downloading. And because of torrent/network protocol, 1/25 of that uploaded data is added to my monthly ISP download bandwidth (which is limited. It is huge but still limited).
2. As you say, stealing torrents takes very little effort and time. So I'd rather skip initial release and then auto-get the stolen clone in 1-2 hours after your torrent finishes seeding. It saves my nerves and bandwidth that way.
3. If your policy's target is getting more reputation and members - I can understand that. more rep -> more members -> more sources for new releases.

Bottom line: I don't really care about anything except auto-downloading from nyaa's rss and fast. For now, your seeding policy cannot satisfy me, even downloading from Share is less stressful since I can calculate how much traffic it uses per month (always running it 24/7 with bandwidth limit so I can predict it's monthly bandwidth).

I like the idea to protect against transloading. If someone buys and shares a game with no intent of profit, you should respect his wishes or buy it yourself. I don't buy games but if I did I probably wouldn't share because I hate the thought of someone profiting from it.

Where's the protection in that scheme? All I see is people trying to attract attention to their releases... after 5 minutes they finish seeding someone will reupload the file (and possibly profit from it by uploading to DL sites)
I prefer third variant - ignore the release

Its alright, imo. The point of torrent is not only to get, but to share as well. One not only download the game, but share it as well. if by the time they stop seeding someone else take that role, there won't be much of a problem.

Well :) I like this distro system for 1 reason - it does the same job as DRM, that is delaying piracy, without doing all the ridiculus drm stuff that western AAA games do from time to time. And honestly i'm really scared when I see torrents pop up before release date - it could devastate a developer. Seriously if anime scene (a serious lack of interesting/original/weird content since 2008 crisis) is any indicator - the industry is struggling hard (where is my AG4?). Unfortunately i'm not able to support these game devs directly by paying japanese price + shipping across the world + paying import fees + .. i'm not sure game covers like these would not get me in trouble if customs inspection examined the shipment . I would like that releases could be delayed a few days or weeks just to give devs time to cash in on all the 'trigger happy' and 'unbothered' clients. Seriously IMHO even in japan it is less embarrassing to torrent such stuff privately than to go buy such game cover in store :D
