It should still work, the patch only modifies the main exe and the update.pac.
The sign up tool modifies the reg.dll, if I'm not mistaken that is.
And the patch is cumulative.
so unless you really need to have a specific version, I recommend getting the latest version.

go get exchpac from asmodean site, then use it on the bgm.pac.

Just drag the bgm.pac to the exe.

And you could just download the OST you know, ASL already released it for quite a while.

I'd recommend getting the OST instead if you are going to listen to it.
The BGM files are segmented and you need to combine them.

Tsubomi : Faux Eclair
Mashiro : Demon Maxwell
Erika : Edelwind
Hikaru : Hihiirokane

Kouichirou : Soma Drinker (or something similar )
Rin : Jack the Ripper
Those are the only one I can remember off the top of my head right now.

well you "CAN" play with rin and kouichirou, but only as a costume.

what is the yellow - background state which happens sometime in the battle ? ( it's like burst mode from atelier iris or mana khemia series ) how do i trigger that state ?

Probably just guard break, combo, or something like that.
Your tension bar increases a lot during that state, so use it.

To be honest, chances are fairly close to zero. To put it into simple terms. Most projects currently translated can take a fair few years for a decent translation. This does not include CG editing, packing, etc.

Ah its done, but i cant seem to get kanae into the team, everytime i start the tutorial with her, when i try to get past the first portal she keeps saying something x.x

Please patch up to the latest patch of the game. I basically used the manual patch though so I can backtrack if there is a bug in the patch.

Kanae only joins you after the first chapter ends I think. You basically don't get to work with anyone in the first chapter.

The things that should be carried over are items obtainable in chests and rewards and the expansion board that you willingly unlock based on your battle ranking I believe (max 99 points). All other items such as keys and favorite food have to be collected again.

You don't. The monsters get stronger as the stroyline progresses and when you get deeper in the dungeons, it will get more difficult to defeat them.
