I'm not that fond of older women x younger guy pairings in the first place.
And I can't really like the way the current heroine has pretty much told every one about his 'problem' without a hint of sympathy for him. I really don't think it's something to laugh at, even if a big part of it is due to his own character.
I really don't like the way female authors like to show a heroine who treats the protag with indifference or scorn, focuses on her own needs first and foremost and doesn't care about him until he goes above and beyond to prove himself and win her over, no matter how much he has to debase or exert himself, and then portray it as being 'romantic' and imply that it's only natural to be the man's responsibility to show himself worthy of her while she doesn't have to do anything at all but grant him the privilege or being with her after he's finally convinced her he's worth making a part of her life. We see that kind of one sided romance in a lot of stories aimed at female readers and written by female authors, especially in the west. It really irritates me.
Unfortunately for me though, it looks like the author intends for her to be the main heroine and intends to do exactly that. She'll be around while he's going on his coming of age journey, accepts that everything about his situation is his own fault for being a passive, boring loser and decides to change. And after seeing his efforts she'll slowly open up to him and they'll get together. I'm hoping she'll at least make it interesting though and have him settle things with his past in a satisfying manner.
Yeah, it seems our tastes trend in opposite directions, because I adore older female/younger male pairings. And I don't have quite as many qualms with the scenario you described, although that might be because you see it a lot with male-oriented romances, and I may have been desensitized to it. Especially those romances that feature tsunderes. Personally, I like seeing the tsun/bitchy chick finally melt and become dere, despite what the male lead often has to endure to achieve that. I'd of course prefer it if the MC doesn't have to humilate himself to get there, but with a manga with this kind of set-up, it's likely there's a lot of trials (see: suffering) for the MC ahead.
That's not at all to defend that sort of tropey romance as ideal or good writing, but hey, sometimes tropes are fun.
Anyway, I scanned the Nomad CGs - disappointed to see a good amount of reused CGs from the other games. I wasn't really highly anticipating it though, since the heroine's voice was a little annoying. Anyone know anything out the blonde girl? Is she married?
I guess all that's left is the next Team NTR game and the Lilim game, the latter of which I'm really looking forward to.
