Money doesn't seem to mean a lot to Marina at least not in the reason as to "leave" her husband (ie she has never come across as a gold digger) BUT I could see her enjoying some of the perks.

I FULLY expect her to take a trip near the end of the game now WITH Kenji more then supportive of it and Kenji "waiting" to see if she comes back...actually that almost seems like the perfect ending now that I think about it...

The outcome based on your decisions in game (ie she returns and says she had fun or he gets a postcard/his daughter marries her oil tycoon and he loses both) after the credits roll.

Yikes...I might have just spoiled the game!

OR, OR I see Oji realizing that everybody is manipulating him (playing their sex games) and he gets pissed realizing this and decides to leave them with a "gift" (ie knocking up Marina) before he leaves...and in a sense leaving the message Kenji/Marina played "too much" and decide to end their games now.

Honestly I wish we got all 3 endings...then everybody would be happy lol.

Damn...I really wish we got multiple endings like in Sei games (Bible Black, ect) in this game...makes me wish Marina 3 in general was a "bigger" game then other AtelierS games...it really shows the limits of budgeting for a small game like this...

For example I figure we've already seen half the games CG which saddens me.

Haha well to be honest I'm just throwing everything out there including the kitchen sink at this point, having fun theorizing what could and probably won't happen - but thats whys its fun!

For the first two games to be linear games, this is a huge factor. REALLY curious.

But guys, I have high hopes for this game since someone mentioned about the multiple endings.
For the first two games to be linear games, this is a huge factor. REALLY curious.

For the record I'm just throwing out crazy "what if" ideas now - I'm not actually suggesting these ARE the endings or we will get multiple endings. I'm just kinda having fun thinking up all the crazy ways shit could hit the fan to entertain myself.

In all honesty I expect the games plot to be rather straight forward - teasing yes - but straightforward.

As for multiple endings I wouldn't expect them - I WOULD expect maybe THREE endings however like in Marina 1 but not like you think. So hows that?

1. I see 1 sudden death ending based on a bad decision (ie Kenji suggesting Marina go without him to hotsprings she refused and it was game over)
2. Two endings scenes based off one last choice near the ending (like in Marina 1) BUT using the same ending in a general sense. Like it did with Marina 1 (where we basically had the same ending but viewed in two different ways and in Marina 1 that difference was Kenji hiding under the bed and in the other version he was right there out in the open with them)

However since this IS meant to be the last game I could see us getting two different but related endings, maybe her past lovers are included in one version of the ending and in another version they aren't their but the ending itself is the same (if that makes sense). I'm not suggesting that COULD be an ending just thats how it most likely will work.

I honestly expect this will be the case of the "same ending" with maybe 2 slight alterations because Marina seems to be following a very fixed plot line in general and I expect that even if we got multiple versions of the ending they will all add to the same thing in a general sense.

Make sense?

I think what is MORE interesting is if we'll get a large POST scenario ending - like we did with Marina 2 after the credits rolled that you could click on via the menu and more specifically WHAT that could be or include!

Thats what really intrigues me...

I think it shows that NTR is a lot more popular then we think, thats its not just a small "genre" anymore of hentai - but I also feel the reason why we are seeing so many new authors or smaller games being made instead of bigger games is because the industry is still unsure of how to approach it.

In some senses NTR in general has always been apart of hentai going back into the 1990's but has only really been drawn out as its "own" fetish is the last few years. Before it was mostly just used/scene in games where girls might lose a battle and be raped that the main character was in love with. Now instead of a "bad ending" they have become their own storylines and have matured to be more then just "bad endings" into games like Marina.

However I also think in a sense anime has always lent itself towards NTR type themes, via a sense of loss and love with the "darkness" of human emotion. So in this sense I think a lot of authors are starting to use NTR because its easy to transition to and more so because a lot of people DON'T like it. So it does an excellent job of stirring up human emotion which is something many authors try to do. So thats to say they might not be writing it because its meant to be a turn on - but because they know it will generate a reaction in their readers.

As for erotica be it in AV's, anime, eroge whatever I'm not too surprised, in western media the fetish of wife watching or sharing is listed in the top 5 of male fantasies and top 3 of men over 40. Its why swingers has always been so popular over the decades - its not just about sharing but watching too lol. Only recently has it become more about 3 in a bedroom rather then 4.

Going back to japanese industry especially erotica I think they are still trying to figure out what the market REALLY wants and games like Marina which are clearly very popular as to inspire a series keeps throwing them in new directions much as I've described before as has happened with the west.

I mean we get ONE ending, but maybe different VERSIONS of that endings or rather versions of the scenes leading up to it like in Marina 1. IE in one version Kenji just spied on Marina fucking via under the bed and only saw her legs. The other version he wasn't hiding but was making eye contact with Marina and watching it all happen moment for moment in front of him - but both scenes LEAD to the same conclusion of Marina 1.

So I could see this happening in M3 where we get slightly different endings BUT they all lead to the same conclusion based on how Kenji approaches it via user choices.

For example lets say the ending of Marina 3 is a CG of her pregnant and they decide to stop "playing". However leading up to this ending maybe was choice Kenji/player makes influencing who the actual father is, so it could be either Kenji' or Oji's - but the final scene is still the same with her pregnant regardless. What we see just leading up to it however is slightly different though and slightly altering maybe some of the text for the last CG - but still being the same conclusion to the game of her being pregnant. (Again this is just an example of what I mean - not suggesting how it will actually end with her pregnant)

Another example of this is maybe they decide to stop playing and Kenji/the player gets to make a choice to either call all her ex lovers over for one last massive 4 some OR he/we pick to have it end with him and Marina making love 1 on 1, but the next day still leads to the same ending regardless. Again I'm not suggesting this WILL be an ending, but rather trying to explain what I mean but multiple endings with the same conclusion.

And yeah, corrected the mistake with the multiple endings. BUT I still think that it could be possible (weak hope) because like you mentioned this is meant to be the last game.
And it would be such a waste to let this opportunity go to let the players choose the final destiny ;)

If there's an influx like you said, then that's great news for me.
I'm always frustrated with the fact there are on one side many works about ntr, but on the other side that the story of most of them seriously lack the necessary depth, the emotional punch in the stomach.
Yes, art style/H is important, but I wished there was more story, a goddamn build up between characters.

Simply said: I could count the ntr works I really like with both of my hands.
More ntr means for me, there may be some rare gem shining through. :)

Maybe influx was a poor choice of word from my part but I mean ntr has been more noticed these years despite always being there.
It's good because it makes the genre to be more known but it also worries me because some just do it because it's popular and end do it half assed which leads potential fans to look at NTR with disdain for the wrong reasons and the genre definition is misunderstood like Action Bastard said.

Did you mean hiroto instead of Kenji by any chance? because the only person who gets utterly destroyed in the second game is hiroto (the uni guy).

Possibly he has trained his sex skills to impress marina again.

It will be pretty funny/depressing for Hiroto if he gets another "bad" end this time again.

the hurdle is set higher now. (sex god/ sex compatibility seems to be the best according to marina and rich although might just be his "mask".)

Good points, I wouldn't be surprised if Hiroto would just swipe Marina off the floor at some point in the game, just "taking" her.
He was always kinda "inferior" to Marina, an experienced, mature woman. And now after the second game, a confident Hiroto trying to correct his "mistakes".
Just my wish though lol.

But I would be actually laughing if he gets a bad ending again.

LTB game is kinda a hit and miss for me, i meant the scenario's in the game.

There are quite a lot of scenarios and ending in each of their games that i played, still plowing through marriage blue at the moment.

The scenarios.. well i find it tiring for me to play each until i get the one that i liked so i usually wait and check reviews to see which route is the best (i am that damn lazy ha!)

I liked marina because it is straight forward, other NTR games also quite straight forward with only 1 antagonist.

The problem with other NTR games I got is that a lot of games are trying to introduce too many characters, each with their own set of personality/fetishes, that the line gets blurry in the end, result of trying too hard to satisfy a wide range of the audience. just imo.
(I also can see bondage, group sex, things I'm also not a fan of ^^)

Less characters makes room for more relationship building, character depths.
(yes, with Marina 3 we get so many more males at the same time, but the series has already established the foundation for those characters, and they were introduced separately)

Rakudai NTR doujin by Norakuro Nero, ignore the "plot" I think this was quite good, it even has a ntr baby.


I'm not judging the new game I'm saying that the game developers haven't made a new hit so far.

Well, so far i only bought translated games online (jast/mangagamer etc), or back when i was in japan in some stores. But this was only my second NTR game purchase. And besides that, i downloaded a LOT of them here or on other sites.

But in the future, if the purchase can guarantee me a day 1 release & dl, and i am really hyped for the game, than maybe i am willing to pay.
