Mmm i must be the only person here not really interested in marina (well if it ever gets an english translation i will probably try it), but maybe is because i am more of a sadist and i enjoy watching the betrayals and suffering of the main character, the injustice, etc, of course i like it when a happy ending is posible since it feels like the bad/netorare endings are some corruption of a happy relationship/ending, that is why i love Gatenkei and the Netorare nurse series.

Sooo, i purchased the new Frill Game (i fucking love this company). Only played it a little bit, but so far it is decent. Has anyone else played it already?

You guys are not the only ones who feels this way. This entire thread was built originally on the usual types of NTR. I saw everyone going apeshit over how amazing this Marina game series was so i checked it out, and it does dick squat for me. My enjoyment of NTR is the betrayal, the Injustice, or even better the Corruption. Nothing like watching something pure Turn. The Profag wanting this, being into this, it is just not the same thing. And when it does get to semi good parts like the chick being more into the guy shes fucking then the Profag which is the closest to the cheat or corruption i like, its ruined by the lack of Injustice, she turned out that way, because he made it that way, deliberately. The girl if she moves on to another guy is actually justice not injustice lol. Which is why i feel nothing. While Netorare and Netorase are in the same Genre the difference is staggering between them depending on your interests. Its cool that its taking off, and i support it and let it be here because its a Sub-genre but if this means Normal NTR disappears in favor of Netorase i will fucking rage.

This is good idea. It beats the hell out of asking me months ago to change the entire thread to suit the Sub-Genre, and then ignore my response that rejected that and the suggestion to do this very thing. I dont know what made you change your mind, but its about time.

My thoughts exactly. I enjoyed Marina games because they were good games overall, not because of the netorase: it was hot but not ntr-hot ;).

Regardless the reason why I didn't go forward earlier with a Marina thread is mostly because people on this forum tend to stick/bookmark and post to major threads (rather then look for minor ones). So basically what I'm saying is just because I make it doesn't mean people will go there or stop posting about Marina here. More then anything I expect most people won't even know a official marina thread will exist or bother looking for it once I make it let alone post in it.

I didn't ask you to change the entire thread for one sub-genre but simply suggested a title change to represent that everybody is posting here about every type of NTR that exists - not just the one kind that turns you specifically on. That fact is people will keep posting about all types of NTR here because to AS forum users it IS the "general ntr general discussion thread" now.

The only reason I've decided to go ahead and make a thread is to post and gather all the Marina info I can in it as an official thread would. Also I've been thinking about doing an official...er unofficial translation of the game so it makes sense I make a thread for that too...but I'm not promising anything.

Also people won't stop making the NTR you like, more then anything I think netorase is a hard concept for Japanese to understand and they will continue to produce what they know more then often vs explore a topic/fetish they don't understand well enough to make a game around.

Exactly my thoughts. Marina as netorase just happened to be more popular despite being more niche than normal netorare but in no way the latter will disappear.


BTW, Frill game is just linear all the way to the end. No choices to be taken nor mistery to be explored which is very underwhelming imo.

This is just an internet slang term for protagonist. Fag maybe because most of them let the NTR happen thus they are fags? I make the same distinction when talking about normal stories or Normal NTR instead of saying Protagonist i say Profag. Prolly all that 4-chan messing with my brain.

And This is the NTR General Discussion Thread (Which i did not name it that originally, will89 a mod here changed it when my thread got so huge it needed Restructuring) Not the General NTR Discussion Thread. All over the front of the first post of this thread it states, what is NTR, the different types,and what are Sub-Genres that are not actually NTR. Netorase and Netori are not fucking Netorare, They are Netorase and Netori. FHC and myself made it clear what the types are. But since most Netorase or Netori have some actual Netorare in it, like a Story Arc, or a single part, i choose not to push the issue of them being posted here. I try not to Discriminate against other kinks, as i hate it when i go do download a NTR game and there are those ass holes that make sure to post that they hate NTR or some other negative comment.

When you messaged me that you thought that i needed to "get with the times" and open up the name of the forum to allow all forms, its because you and other members of this forum where getting into disputes as to its actual purpose. They said hey, this is for Netorare as the front page states, but you felt that everything belonged here and wanted me to change it. When i read your message i unfortunately had to disagree with you and i explained why. We where here looking for a very specific feeling, what it was, and the purpose behind it. I followed up with the willingness to cooperate, maybe make a Sub-Heading and talk and discuss what this future was with the Genre.

It seemed more like a way for you to shut them down and win the argument then to push forward with a new Genre Movement that you supposedly care about because your response was to completely fucking ignore me. Who knows you may of changed my mind.

At the time i was upset at your dismissal of my cooperation attempt, but as i am busy and it was doing no real harm and fuck i mean this is the internet about porn i decided screw it. But now i find myself with time, and people yet again commenting on the Marina Issue litteraly just as you say you are gonna do something i suggested you do months ago.

So obviously it was time to say something and call your shit out.

I will not change it to suit your interests as i did not make this thread for the Entire Genre Community. I made it specifically for those of us who love specifically Netorare.

It is cool that it has opened many doors for the community at large, and we should have a sub-genre for Netorase and Netori Etc, but enough is enough. I wanted to work with you, I have done everything politically and ethically correct that i am supposed to do in this situation, that time has passed i no longer give a fuck. i was reading this forum religiously until some 1 month ago when all this marine hype begun.I stopped shortly after that , because this forum turned into marina forum, and im not huge fan of the game , and even if i was , i wouldnt enjoy reading 20 pages about same 1 game. In last month this forum changed from best netorare forum in the world to one of the worst xD

There are plenty of great writers out there - the doujin or manga scene being a perfect example and thats where almost all eroge writers get their start! The issue isn't finding a writer, its finding the writer who understands the story themes as you point out. But there are tons of great writers - as you said yourself that includes former elf studio members.

Actually I'd argue that even Onboro wasn't even best suited for this genre/netorase as he seemed to struggle with it as some kinda of deviance rather then understanding what the fetish is itself. I'm not saying he didn't do a great job, but it was clearly new territory for him as it will be for many that come after him - despite the fetish existing since well...swingers lol - the issue is "swinging" and wife sharing/watching IS a new thing (I think) to japanese culture (correct me if im wrong i met be) unlike western societies which goes back to the 60's. Even ancient civilizations had evidence of wife sharing.

However I don't believe this has ever existed in japanese culture of sharing ones wife sexually with mutual agreement.

Yeah, i mean NTR specific writer not eroge in general. Didn't Onboro himself has netorase fetish? I read it here posted by other member if i'm not mistaken. That's why he often use the theme for his works, i.e: Nagasare Tsuma, Mariko, etc.

Actually, to obtain the worst or best? bad ending in Gatenkei, the game decides it early on with question that has netorase element in it.

The game will ask what is the protag's reaction knowing that some strange older guy staring at mini skirt wearing Misaki. If the player answered "it's irritating but somehow bring strange feeling" instead of "it's irritating", it'll unlock the worst bad ending. So in a way The game actually asked indirectly whether the player want the NTR/NTS to happen. The later part of the game also play with this idea.

edit: whoa, that escalated quickly :). I'm all for creating new thread specifically for netorase and netori but i don't think there are many games catered to that, especially netorase. I agree though, ntr, nts, and netori catered to different type of audiences and grouping it all together doesn't help anyone.

First time posting here.

I'm a big fan of Netorare in visual novel and manga. My favorite netorare VN ever is Gatenkei, from elf. My second one would be Triangle Blue, from LiLiM. In the former, the story was so beautifully written, that when the netorare happened, it hit me so hard. Definetely a classic. Triangle Blue also had some great netorare. It didn't hit me as hard as it did in Gatenkei, but the fact that the protagonist was proactive against the netori dudes was a plus for me. It had all kinds of endings (netorare, revenge against netori guy, happy endings). Definetely a great VN.

As for my favorite types of netorare, I prefer types A and B. I'm not a fan of C, since it's just rape. I like the corruption aspect of the netorare. Seeing the girlfriend/wife/bride enjoying being fucked by another dude is really arousing for me. I'm not a fan of sister, mother, childhood friend kind of netorare. I'm more into seeing the protagonist having his girlfriend, bride or wife stolen from him.

Netori isn't my favorite genre, but some netori scenes can be good. The last VN focused on netori I played was Mesu Ochi Kyonyuu Tsuma, from Anim. It wasn't bad. It was ok. Not as good as netorare, though.

About netorase. I dislike it, unless it goes from netorase to netorare, just as it happened in Kabe no Mukou no Tsuma. But if it goes just as it did in the Marina series, I won't like it.

Also, I'd like to recommend some VNs. Outside of Gatenkei and Triangle Blue that I already mentioned, I'd recommend True Blue, Sore de mo Tsuma o Aishiteru and Kanojo ga Mimai ni Konai Wake. I hope to have some nice conversations with you guys!

About netorase. I dislike it, unless it goes from netorase to netorare, just as it happened in Kabe no Mukou no Tsuma.

That wasn't NTS but swapping bait that went netorare.

On another news the getchu page about Anim.TeamMM's game was changed from Netori and Netorare to Netorare only.

First off when you responded to me via PM back then you made it clear how you felt about netorase and the basis of your/this thread - and I understood that. Yes the suggestion existed to create a new thread for netorase or Marina at minimum - but I didn't reject your cooperation or proceed because I set out to ignore you.

Honestly I'm just lazy, I mean if you look at the time line of my posts they are very random - sometimes weekly, sometimes once or twice a month. Sometimes I spend 20m writing something in a thread and then say fuck it and just scrap whatever I began writing because I'm too lazy to finish it.

My point is I wasn't ignoring you or whatever I just didn't feel like making the effort to create a whole new thread and getting all the material to properly represent it.

Hell even now I'm on the fence about making a new thread/discussion - do I make it about netorase or Marina? Marina would be easier because all I would have to maintain info on the series, but if its truly over then the thread is basically already dead since everybody will most likely forget about the game in 6 months.

There is clearly the opinion that the game isn't even netorare so maybe netorare group isnt the right fit. So fetish corner? But who would look for it there right? I'm almost tempted to start it in the eroge corner as its more a general discussion about a specific game rather then a general discussion that fits into a specific group.
