hmm.......having a big block of color around the sig , I don't think it might turn out good , we might not have an option where we are able to customize the color if you know what I mean like for Example adding a pink color around your siggy might look nice but having it a light pink color or a mixture of a light violet/pink color would be great and much better or if samy should he ever put a black color around his siggy that will totally ruin the patterns, but off course he won't do that ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

let's just say unless we could customize the colors further it won't look good but if we could then I say yay it should be fine . Though I feel it won't get approved~

I have looked at unown's response and I think if nanashi's proposal does come to light... one of the three shall happen.

1) It initiated without the users's consensus and will be permanent
2) It will only be during special seasons or holidays
3) It will be a test like a beta version, one month trial kind of thing. Whether it stays or goes is up to the consensus of the users.

My first wish which I already have mentioned for Ignis once would be able to invert the colors, or add a darker themed background. But as it is, the forum is quite customizable. So there isn't really a great imminent need, hence I wouldn't be surprised if it take a bit of time by being pushed back among other priorities.

@Rena, strange, maybe it was the day before...I could have sworn you where up since at least way earlier than 6.30. but no matter. Cause I remember myself being slightly surprised or something.

Regarding the whole idea of a background behind the sig, I'm not really "seeing it" Seems perhaps like a lot of work for not much in return maybe.

And that is why I included the Limited Time during Christmas as a 'gift' for users. It might or might not work. I shall try.

That is why I am not guaranteeing this will be approved. I am only adding a "slightly higher success rate by 5%" with my sale's pitch.

The Admins are busy with other tasks. The most I can do is to "keep it in mind" and hope they "look into it" someday.

Hm... I don't think I'll add much to the discussion, given what was already (very well) pointed out.

For the technical part, given how well structured AS seems to be, I don't think this will be much of a challenge. Of course, they'll need to put some time/effort to make the changes happen, which makes the argument about being useful to the community quite valid. As for being limited, this is something that can be reused, so it may not be something that will be discarded right after its availability expires.

In terms of usability, will the user have to input two images, one for the sig and other for the background, or maybe a selection of fixed backgrounds? It would at least have to provide more flexibility compared to the usual way (and be easy of use, though I don't think that would be a real issue...).

Then there's the visual aspect, which is actually more on the personal side... In some forums, there's so much visual pollution that they look like those pages full of ads in which what matters is obstructed by the high amount of flashing and bright colors. I can see people using their creativity to do all sorts of colorful and nice things, but I'm a bit uncertain if the final image will be easy on the eyes.

Still, I'm always in when it comes to more customization options~

I don't have any editing skills that I'm aware of myself, I'll learn just some as I go depending how much time I find for it, but I intend to keep things simple anyway. And the dead line is a full two months. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have joined actually.

~There was even a brief idea of me filming myself shooting birds crashing down on the neighbors xD But; judge what time, want and energy you got for it yourself of course.

Considering that people might be busy IRL two months to come up with a short video seems rather reasonable. An extra month might even be good, but the duration shouldn't extend for too long before people lose interest.

I've seen people panic in my class or my father's office just because they can't think about alternatives to go about certain things. They think there is only one way to do something.

In an art contest about 8 years ago, everyone built miniature scaled temples, sculpted maidens, and did massive paintings... but what won the contest was just a simple drawing. It wasn't big and not flashy. And you can take a guess as to who won.

What I want to say is, please do not envision something grand and only do what you know you can do. Think about different possibilities on how to tackle a situation. Enjoy the process, learn from it, and love it~

The difference is that Pyre just like AhGwee, who despite the fact may know the concepts and have dealt with the arts, they did not consider or pursue a life-long career related to the arts.

Yes, I did win. They claim the entries though for their own personal use like exposure to local media just to show off they are 'one' with the community.

I don't have my entry, but I can replicate it. If you want a quick drawing, then it's easy to do.

If you want all the works, it will take some time like a month or so since we are busy with other important matters. Also, because it needs to be properly colored.. by hand, not tablet.

The contest was for the Cambodian Opera, "Where Elephants Weep". Since it was still new, they wanted more exposure and asked students to submit art pieces to showcase "Cambodia".

I drew two girls, back to back, day and night, traditional and modern, country life and city life, one looks down, the other looks up... there is sadness for one and hope for another.

The concept is simple and easy to understand.

I think second place was another drawing and third place was a poem.

Hmm... Brandon Event? Not making any guesses here.

I can come up with concepts fairly easily. The hard part is putting it down on paper and completing. Which is why I have many ideas taken and never thanked.

The opera was some love story. There wasn't even an elephant I think. Just some metaphor for the place where the two lovers meet. Cambodian style Romeo and Juliet, but happy ending.

I captured the feeling of hope and despair. That is what drew the judges to my drawing. Country girl all sad. City girl, with new life, new hope.

Hmm... Yeah, me is also important the opinions of the others about this "possibility", because I don't want egoistic appear...- but if this possibility doesn't want work, then can I it understand. It can then what different than/as award/prize come, instead this - what I suggested have... But let we it see what the future for us brings for a chance/possibilities...^^
