You can do anything you want as long as you mention what material you used and didn't have any outside help from people/animals/etc.

You can just write a description, no pictures necessary. We only submitted pictures because it would help with the description better. Some even added color or little chibis for fun. Just go crazy with it. :)

Well, you can always make your own ramen at home, like me. I would suggest watching a cooking video on YouTube then after making it a few dozen times, experiment and put in different ingredients than usual.
