43682 He can, but if you add another factor as swords changing the trajectory of the chains, chains could be moved without boy + be more unpredictable and have more a bit more speed. Special moves are there for chaining them and create inescapable combos...

But the boy then sent the flames of the medallion through his chains and transferred them to dark lord's sword making it burn him.~

43691 Do flames really differentiate when they meet? Wouldnt the flames on the sword and the flames on the chain just merge? How is the boy sending the flames up his sword anyway?

Sending the pair away in their attempt to dodge~ With the boy creating chains of pure darkness in his attempt to defend against the blade infused with black and white flames~

43692 Idk... Wouldn't flames just go from one stick to another? And won't he have control over them if it's his magic flame? Aren't flames of darkness or light different from real burning flame coming from medallion of flames? Or that dark lord can use simple flames as well? Also, why create chains of pure darkness if he has medallion of fire?

But the blade of two powers combined was more powerful. Chains were already beginning to crack as a rescue came from the air yet again.~

43694 Flames are just really hot air in the end... Different colors come from different gasses burning and i suppose magic in this case... Im pretty sure they would have some knowledge of the common magics if they can get to the power of a dark lord ;p The reason for pure darkness is that it is more powerful than the sword which has mostly darkness and a bit of light since the light weakens it although it adds a durability against light attacks~ Dark vs dark kind of neutralizes since theyre the same but light vs dark are both strengths and weaknesses to each other so they destroy each other~ The little bit of light in the sword wouldnt be able to get through the pure darkness so this the chains can block~ The fire is mostly neutral to the elements of light and dark since the elemental magics have their own strength and weakness chart~ Thunder and metal making the chart more complicated as secondary elements... space and time are on a whole level of their own and pretty much overpower everything... body and mind are mostly just boosts for the user or debuffs to enemies which can be used for various purposes~ Mind mostly helping mages while body mostly for warriors~ But in the end it all depends on the concentration of magic in the sword~ If there is a larger amount of darkness in the sword even if its weakened by the light then itll still be able to cut the chains which are pure darkness (adding fire doesnt matter but he can put a bit of magic into a fire attribute although that means hes putting less magic into the darkness attribute itll just be canceled by the fire in the sword anyhow)~ His natural element is darkness which means that he can wield darkness the most efficiently and he took lessons on the other elements during the time with the resistance but i would think that he is still more proficient with darkness which he has been using most of his life~ You saying the chains cracked basically means he didnt strengthen them enough even with the pure darkness so adding flames probably wouldnt be good for him ;p

The owl screeched as it released a rain of flaming feathers at the dark lord before continuing to attack the minions getting close~ An attempt to distract the dark lord which he ignored as his barrier deflected most of the strike~
