Dubbed vs Undubbed?

I like both dub and sub... sub mostly since some dubs can be terrible
a good example is ghost storys dub.. totaly ruined and is pathetic
so best watching in sub.
as for dubs... funimation dubs are excellent

Thats true but funimation does pretty accurate dubs.. for an example they re-dubbed one piece which 4kids ruined. I wish they redub ghost storys because its a good anime but adv killed that with their dub..

your right subbed is much better and it's pretty rare too see a dubbed better than the original..
but they could be just as good if a good anime dubbing company gets it...

Really, I think undubbed is better for me. Just authenticity of the voice over is a must, especially if the movie is made in Italian and acted by Italians then I want to hear it in its original language. Otherwise I refuse to see unsynced and 'I'm just being paid to dub' voices. Even if they put effort in it, I expect it to be at a level where I am made to believe that they believe who they are, otherwise I'll lose interest in it. Already seen many dubs and undubs of the same thing so my opinion is extremely biased due to my own personal nature.

The only dubbed anime I watched is Pokemon. But, not anymore. Starting from Pokemon B&W.

I go for undubbed 98% of the time, but there are some anime that I like better dubbed.

I buy dubbed stuff that way my brother, who can't read yet, can watch things like Ponyo and my sister, who is has slight Japanophobia, can enjoy some things without it being SMACK-IN-YO-FACE-JAPANESE-DESU.

Also, because English is my first language and when I want to chill I don't want to read OTL

For most of my anime I would go for undubbed. However the Animes I watch growing up as a kid will stay dubbed with me forever~ I would prefer to watch the old animes like Dragon Ball and Yu-Gi-Oh dubbed since I got used to it and found it normal.

I use both so far, if I spoke Japanese then It would clearly be undubbed. But since I don't I don't like reading subs ! So for me I use both.

i like either one. some shows with a lot of episodes like bleach, inuyasha, etc. i first saw in english, so i kinda gravitate to their english dub rather than sub. for typical anime though, i don't mind watching them in their original voices. they usually sound more exaggerated, which i always find funny lol

English dub usually sounds unnatural to me, kind of like how seeing a foreign film in English dub is weird.

So for anime (and foreign films) I always watch in Japanese/whatever language dub with subtitles. Also steadily becoming less of an issue for me as I learn more vocab, because I can understand basic conversations without subs.

I also tend to set subs as really small so they don't interfere with the video much too, especially for 1080p stuff because it will still be clear when very small.

about 50/50. i try both on a episode and then I see. Like some shows where there is a Big guy... the Japanese voices sometimes don't match the body. while in many dubs they find the right voice. My favorite English voice actor is Liam O'Brien. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liam_O%27Brien
He has a very... unique voice. I watch the majority of amines with him in it in dub.

The worst dubbed Anime i ever seen was called GHOST STORIES, this anime is fantastic but highly recommended watching subbed, adv just destroyed it with crappy sad.. jokes, well if you call it that, then theres gay teachers and a retarded main character.. wtf was going through thier stupid fat heads...

so yes some dubs are pathetic and others are excellent, depends on which company gets it.. my opinion, Funimation is the best dubbers... as for subbed anime, the best is from fansubbing groups with out a doubt, thanks to them we get cool anime.

some dubs are better than the originals but sometimes i am boring to read subs, so if there is an option the dual audio i will take that.

The original is the best. Period. Most of the time the dubbers lack character. They fail to deliver the feeling
that the voice actor was picked for evoking.
