I only streamed music online until I got my own computer. Then I realized that streaming was dumb and I went a found the songs I liked and bought/dled them (a surprising deal of them were free).
After a small hassle, it is higher quality and less trouble.

Well the idea of DLing anime is that you are getting it in better quality than you could stream, so the bandwidth required will be much larger. However if you can set it up to download when you are gone, then you don't have to rely on connection when you want to watch. In sam's situation I would either deal with streams, or find SD torrents for anime and load up a bunch, always keep them running, and limit your torrent clients max DL/UL speed so as not to interfere too much with others on the network.

Even a constant 50kb/s could download you several episodes of SD anime in a day (if running full you should easily get ~2GB a day, which I'm guessing could be a full season of SD anime).


EDIT: torrents are probably not a good idea if you have a lower bandwidth cap, though!

Pyre ye, I would dl stuff to if I where sam rather than have to deal with streams. Or, well at least it's hopeless if the streams won't buffer, they always did that before but more and more it seems as if its made to not do that anymore. Click pause and it just stops loading.

Oh, I got some playlists on there as well.... But instead of making playlists I just ended up downloading it all to my harddrive so I don't ever have to be without some stuff no matter what.

@genki yeah the streams not dling thing is really annoying these days, because if I want to watch something in HD on YouTube of elsewhere I almost always still will need it to buffer a while.
