Not really sure why you would try to blackmail a user forum like hongfire thats made up of free users with no company, finances or value behind it.

Who do they expect is gonna pay that ransom? Its not like targeting a business or gov system, its place where people post and talk about anime porn - much of which content is pirated and shared for free to begin with. I mean come on how stupid is this guy?

All this hacker does is annoy the community and other hackers who don't like people messing with their free porn - but thats all he accomplishes.

That SAID hongfire should be doing a end of month backup, monthly since crap man made or otherwise happens.

Not about to jump ship, but expanding horizons is always good. I'm unsure where one would post poser pictures, comics, and the like... The Graphics Showcase section I guess?

I wouldn't be so sure about that...especially with regard to the more explicit stuff.

As its name implies, this place isn't much into the sort of things folks of HF are used to. But this gotta be one of the few places where there's an active VN community...

I posted something here long ago (written) but the traffic for artwork/stories is very small compared to sites that cater to that community. Honestly AS just isn' not a great place to feature yourself traffic wise, places like tumblr, rule34, hentai foundry, ect are built around the artist community where AS is built around eroge community discussion or downloads. Guess what I'm saying is if I wanted to post a mod or game I'd do it here, but if I wanted to post a story or picture I'd pick a place that focuses exclusively on that for more traffic. Especially if I'm running a patreon page.

That all said I hope this place is better protected/patched up and backed up then HF was, if its not a hacker its a server, if its not a server its an act of nature, ect.

I really dislike all the places you quote though. They seem so unsuitable for what we do, which is mostly amateur 3d pictures and comics (most of them erotic). This is all based around hentai game 3d posers, so there's a symbiotic relation with the games themselves. People grab the games, and the posers, and at some point try to take some pics with them. The next logical step is sharing them.

You get hooked to these things, and a vicious cycle of modding your game for more clothes, maps, better quality etc happens. Nobody plays and mods these games more than the picture makers, you can be sure about that.
So what I'm trying to say is that it's not about making money or becoming artists, it's just a hentai game community thing. It's funny that I'm saying that, with a Hkey site and all *cough* gil-3d.com *cough* but I'm just an odd exception.

I'm just a lurker on HF, a lurker on AS too when I think about it, but this shit pisses me off. HF is the best place for eroge game mods, UI translations, and custom uploads, so I basically love it to death, I hate how all it takes is one idiot to cause such big problems for people.

For the mean time though, I have a small request, that someone somewhere might be able to help with. maybe. I know a team on hongfire did a partial translation patch for Custom maid 3D 2, (amazing game btw), mostly for the UI, uncensors and such, but I kinda installed a bunch of the updates for the game thinking I'd just grab the newest version of the HF patch once I finished installing that, only to run into this mess, And I'm not even 100% sure if there WAS a HF patch for the latest update (I reaaaally shoulda checked on that first, yup. my bad.) so now I have a super goobered up UI, functional, but irritating In the extreme to work with, and not everything is translated anymore, the new content of course, so I'm just kinda waiting it out.

So to for the actual question does anyone know If/where I can still get the HF patch for V 1.31 of Custom maid 3D 2? I kinda doubt it was anywhere else if it was there to start with which I expect it was, I mean it's the hongfire community, we live off this kind of stuff.

If not then I will simply hold on to the hope that somehow, somewhere, someone is brutally beating our hacker within an inch of his life
