noooo not relly~ there's people that can only get so tall :P
genetics and environment are both important. Once you get a certain age, you've had most of the growth spurts you'll ever have.
Nourishment only helps you grow the way you're supposed to~ then there's just the sad fact that most girls are made to be short
Milk is said to make bones stronger~ mostly for the calcium which is minimum. You actually get alot more calcium from certain plants. Milk is basically the excess of cows~ XD


I remember hearing about how there was a water shield over the earth a few thousand years ago~ and that did something with the quality of oxygen and made people be taller and live longer~

I think there could be culture differences in average height. Mostly environmental factors would work into that. (ex, fewer oxygen-making plants, different food, etc.)
I might not know what i'm talking about tho XD

I'm not sure on how this affected humans but I remember watching a documentary on how the change of oxygen in the atmosphere has affected the bodies of lizards over the years as its lungs have gotten smaller and how that affects the way the move. I think the documentary was called "The first atoms" or something similar

Because of improved health care we do get to live longer, the current life expectancy in most MEDCs are around the 70s-80s. And it's still increasing, so if you are quite young now it is expected that you're probably going to live longer than that. Good thing as many governments are increasing the pension ages, we get to live longer anyway so why not work longer

short people still live slightly longer because their bodies are easier to maintain BUT humans today are taller because people dont die from being too tall anymore because of our awesome medical science. so they stay alive and their tall genes can be passed on.
