Oh, I remember Dumbo. He is that summon from Kingdom Hearts 1, right?

sigh....should've bought the second series too=/....NBA street vol 2

square enix is really crapping things up. I still wish squaresoft worked independently.

just start playing the final mix.....damn twilight zone>.<

nah, square enix is more focused on creating something 'new' rather than go with the near billion of requests for remakes of old but great games.

depends whether the remake is demanded or not. FFVII has been demanded by billions for more than 10 years.

hmm...final fantasy...meehh...the vintage ones are better=/

hmm...yeah..the story is better than now i think...also ff modern on is too much futuristic

Final Fantasy XIII fail? I didn't play a lot FFs except FFXIII to compare but I definitely loved it.

FF XIII is more like a separate franchise. I mean they're pissing off many fans with what they did to the summons.

Not necessarily a fail though, but people who haven't played any of 1-9 certainly don't know what to compare it to.

Hmm i never finished a game but i played a chunk of one on a cousin's ps2... havent played XIII so cant compare though xD

See, this is the problem I'm seeing with FF fans. When playing a Final Fantasy game, rather than playing a final fantasy title as a game of its own, they often feel the need to compare FF games with one another when there really isn't really a need for such a thing. They keep the core aspect from each title, which happens to be the turn based mechanic. The summon mechanic is just them taking a new direction with the franchise. Though I also haven't played much to say a lot about it, I for one know that summons in the old FF games were just broken. In exchange for making the summons on average once per battle (or every few batt;es) in FFXIII, they made them ridiculously strong. They give a fair amount of advantage, but you didn't need to use summons to win, just good strategy.

Hmm... wasnt it the linear map that was complained about the most... not that know how that is...
