『Hey! Don't be rude! My tea is so good humans pass out from it! :objection: I wonder why every tea party I'm having turns to corpse party in the end though...』

Cause the people in your party are doing foolish things like ripping a paper at the same time or something

『Ehhhh? But we've never done Sachiko's good luck charm or whatever it was called...』

『Tea is tasty... How about I brew you some of my tea? ;p』

Hmm its mostly for sovas tea~ Royalty used them to check for poison since silver turns black when exposed to poison~

Silver turns black when exposed to poison?
I thought they use silver so that the heat won't go away XD

Nopes~ Or at least i believe the main reason to be that it can detect poison in foods and drinks~

Googled it, and this is the result :

It seems they use "collodial silver"

"it is well known that the ancient Greeks knew the medical value of silver. It was observed that those ancient families who ate from silver utensils rarely were sick and had few infections. This knowledge passed on to kings, emperors, sultans and their families and members of their royal courts. They ate from silver plates, drank from silver cups, used silver utensils and stored their food in silver containers. As a result of this use, silver was ever so slightly rubbed off and mixed in their foods. And after a generation or two, they received the full benefit from the silver particles which found their way into the body of these people, hence had little chance of getting any infectious illness.

These royals were called Blue Bloods because their skin had a blue tint, due to the accumulation of minute traces of pure metallic silver. The common red blooded folk, however, ate from earthenware dishes with iron utensils and frequently were sick, whilst the royals enjoyed the freedom from infectious disease as early as from birth"

Hmm, someone asked in yahoo answers
"Does silver really change color in the presence of poison?
I ask this because I'm interested in some Chinese history where nobles and royality would drink and eat with silverware to be aware if they're being poisoned. Is this true? If so how and why does it happen?"
