Well its not impossible to get exports from Japan to keep it as fresh as possible, but it has to be used on the same day, and exporting products like that is costly...
I agree that the best way to get the best sushi experience would be to go to Japan yourself

Hmm... Well, if you it the raw wasabi pre-order would, then probably would be still fresh enough... But it'd be indeed dammit expensive - even if you about 100g order would of them... And to Japan... Well, this wouldn't be less cheaper...
